😠 The Little Annoyances Of Everyday Life (Part 1)

Put it back it will freeze again

Have you ever seen frozen defrosted ice-cream?

No, but by 8pm tonight I bet Mrs @Polski_Filip will have.

Mrs P_F may do soon…
Meanwhile how do you babysit 2 non English speaking faraway under 7’s.

Arrgh. Only 1 episode of Masha & the Bear left!!

How do you think our supplies come offshore? 90% of the icecream we get has defrosted by the time it gets unloaded and put in the freezers. Just get some water ice particles in the bottom of the tub. Still edible

My B2B has been offshore a week whilst i have been in lockdown and he decides he wants to go home. This means I get to go back offshore without getting out of quarantine. Ok I got beer and Vodka for a week and managed to complete all the fixtures in the Superbru league. But actual time off and relaxation not so much when you are waiting the results of a swab test.

Air New Zealand have cancelled our LHR-LAX flights and LA-Tahiti flights. Bollocks.

Probably a good thing or you might end up hearing…

I am still hanging on to Porto and Bermuda

Those fuckers at Emirates still haven’t given me my money back - never book flights through Expedia - they are shit beyond shit

@Goatboy in getting no sympathy for disrupted trip to Ta-fucking-hiti shock.

Emirates have announced they are starting to refund tickets booked directly.
Enjoy your Expedia voucher.
HTH

Air NZ offer credit voucher or refund (for the LHR-LAX flights). Not sure about Air Tahiti Nui yet but would happily take a voucher for that.

I wouldn’t advise a voucher for any flights.
Most of the industry will be gone very soon and when the little that’s left opens back up, it won’t be as people remembered it.
Get a dingy and start rowing

Fuckin’ weather forecasts…this morning I thought I’d take a waterproof as it forecast the chance of a light shower.
25 minutes from home the heavens opened with the heaviest torrential downpour of the year so far and just for good measure, stinging fuckin’ hail…I was wearing shorts. :lou_angry:

Nice.

Whatever speed/settings/post-processing you used really shows the rain in that.

That was shot on my pocket point ‘n’ shoot camera but I can shoot in Camera Raw which makes it easy to process elements within the picture. You can isolate things like brightness, contrast, highlights, shadows, even the basic exposure. If you viewed my pictures on a big screen you’d see there is even detail in the shadow area that a lot of pictures don’t usually show. The pictures have an extended tonal range that the human eye can naturally see but cameras struggle with unless you correct the compressed tonal range using picture editing software.

People say my pictures look like paintings but all they’re seeing is this extended tonal range, they’re used to looking at pictures with a compressed range.

I think I posted this before last year…this shows a downpour really well…
