Back from hols and off to The Waterside with Young Adults #1 & #2 tomorrow to see the aged folks for a few days - This should have gone in the happy thread.

The annoyance is that Mrs CS has increased the bank balance of Messrs Farrow & Ball and emptied ours by helpfully buying their entire stock of paint so me and Young Adult #2 can paint the hall stairs and landing (3 floors - ceilings, walls and glossing all doors and skirtings) when we get backā€¦

Whatā€™s wrong with cheap trade paint and hiring a decorator ffs :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Youā€™d be amazed at how many hall/stairs/landing jobs we end up completing for people who have bitten off more than they can chew. It normally involves every door and frame in the house, spindles which are a pain the arse and that really fucking annoying bit that you canā€™t quite reach. Should only take you a few days to fuck it up :wink:

Nah, am a dab hand at DIY - me & Mrs CS have renovated / decorated more than a few dumps over the years and I did this place a few years back. Itā€™s just I really canā€™t be arsed anymore but Mrs CS has decided that as Iā€™m off for more weeks than her it shall be done, so who am I to argueā€¦?
