😠 The Little Annoyances Of Everyday Life (Part 1)

Just gonna put this here because I need to get it out.
Today was Auschwitz & Birkenau (sp?)
Both places I believe every human should visit IF they are able.
Also both the only places in the world I have ever “felt” ghosts apart from Khesan (SP?) Airbase in Vietnam.
Clients who learnt the stories and wept when an old boy in their tour group collapsed at the 2nd Camp then explained his father & brother had passed through the Gas Chambers.
It was for me a peaceful day Pilgrimage is too strong a word, and it’s somewhere I will go to quite a bit in future weeks.

Why was I annoyed?
Because screaming in my mind were the morons who deny the Holocaust. But more than that was I was standing at THE global symbol warning the World against allowing Fascists to ever again achieve power.
And as I sat there I could think only of Trump and what his advisors are pushing towards, and how UK is allowing itself to be torn by “right wingers”.
Rant over.
Apologies.
But not something I could post on FB and I wanted to get it out of my system.

Two things and the first will make me look like a cunt to some(apologies), but it’s important not to let language be used as it is. The second will show the real cunts and still be relevant(your last point).

the Holocaust? There have been many and no single group should try to claim the term as their own. That’s always done for malignant reasons and is an affront to all those that have suffered these events.

Yeah, get that.

But this image will haunt me for a long long time, whatever it was or should be called

Never meant to diminish the hideous reality of what happened there, but your last point reminded me how fascists like to shape history to their own ends.
Understand it’s a harrowing experience(from talking to others that have been) so appreciate that you didn’t tell me to fuck off.
The rail line going in is a powerful image, burnt in the memory and remember i don’t watch films, but the appropriation of the term is always disturbing(sorry again).

My mum rang me out of the blue yesterday whilst I was at work. This is quite unusual. Mainly chat about an upcoming family get together.
She then tells me story about a tiny westie pup found in a box with one ear cut off and part of it’s tail. I’m at my desk and loudly say ‘they should be in jail’ (no idea why I used jail) and one of the senior workers looked at me concerned thinking I was on the phone to a parent (technically was, mine).
I just don’t get people who do this. Or those that do it to humans (see Phil’s posts).

The last few posts reminded me of this quote:

"The evil that men do lives after them”

(Shakespeare- Julius Caesar)

But then I looked it up and it goes on to say:

“The good is oft interred with their bones”

Sort of ruins it - implying there was some good…not that I’m in any way sticking up for Nazis or any other group of divisive bastards btw. I’ll just stick the first bit.

After the World Cup in 2006, I was on a Contiki tour of Europe where on of the stops was Dachau, just out of Munich.

Like @Polski_Filip said, wasn’t difficult to sense the suffering withheld within those walls and no doubt I could also sense those who had to perish within said walls.

Certainly a sombre experience and one that had a huge impact for sure.

On Trump, I see him as the face of an agenda. Question is, who for?

A good question that no one wants to address, then again probably the wrong thread.

A bit like Cameron(pr man remember) coming to power, immediately joining with hard right anti EU parties from all over Europe(MEPs ), then calling a referendum when the EU wouldn’t back down on offshore tax arrangements(who’s dad set up Panama as a banking fraud?) and leading a campaign that was, for any sane person, set up to fail(there are still people that believe he was campaigning for remain).
If only he had used his pr skills(the thing that won him the leadership).
Oh well, it’s always what comes after that’s important. Anyone positive :+1:

Seem to be utterly unable to open a file on my PC as I don’t have permission. ffs. It’s a file of photos. I uploaded them so can get some of them back. I may have to do some youtubing to work this out.

Even I’m not believing this.
6 passengers 2 hour run into a mountain spa.
They are lingerie models
1 is stunningly pretty, 2 are stupendously dirty and the other 3 are beyond smoking.
3 separate car drivers just asked where I was taking them and are debating changing their destination
Could be the hardest job I’ve ever had to cope with.
They are attending a pool party FFS…
Might have to have a mechanical failure on the wagon.

Keep that rear view mirror trained on the road behind otherwise you’re going to end in a ditch. :lou_wink_2:

Yeah, and make sure your seatbelt is on or you might end up face down in a bush.

The really pretty one was in the middle of the 1st row in the back. I actually had to STOP looking in the bloody thing.
Their destimation was a small Spa village on the edge of the Tarta mountains picture of that tomorrow when I have time

Totally agree with you.
Except today I really did have my breath taken away.
There appears (I must do more research) that the phrase Crazy Pussy is a thing over here for Polish speaking Instagrammers.
2 hours of them discussing…
Well
I also need to stalk sorry search them on Insta they were soldiering all the way, thought I had Mike Oldfield in the back at one point, so many dings going on.

Have you not got video in the back of your car like the Fake Taxi video’s?
Just asking for a friend
