I do this, and have done so since a teen. I do not think it a male/female split.

J:Law and I are both into relatively complex stuff that takes a while to get into, whereas you are more into the catchy stuff you want to deep six after six weeks.

It was Foo Fighters. Not the most complex of stuff.
The pop stuff probably does go to the side after a while. Although thoroughly enjoy Despacito on the headphones whilst cleaning today. Got me dancing about.
All the other more complex stuff I still listen to. Just not on repeat.

One of the annoyances is they call themselves a band, no they’re not, they don’t play any instruments FFS

Had a headache yesterday, wake up with it. Not ideal as off to see Muse later. Some gits BMW car alarm is going off outside.
Not the same BMW git who drove into the car park with music blaring at 1.30am the other day. He doesn’t even live in the blocks.
Is it ok to trash a car when they don’t turn off the car alarm? Or will it just make more noise?
