Iâm obviously gutted to see the tragic news from Sri Lanka. Angry too, and with good reason. First, itâs another attack from Islamic State, at a time when it was though their power and influence were on the wane.
Itâs depressing, doubly so if you share my view that ISâs funding and support needs to be a matter of the utmost scrutiny, especially as there have been some very odd events, such as IS being allowed to escape Syria with the assistance of Western forces, which may have directly contributed to these massacres.
Of course, the crowning turd in the bowl is when Barack Obama, chief proponent of drone warfare, tweeted about the incident, perhaps not realising that he did pretty fucking well in the indiscriminate killing stakes himself.
You talk nice, Barack, but I doubt whether the victims or bereaved of any atrocity are going to care whether the explosions were state sponsored or not.
Iâm wondering why Sri Lanka. There will be a long game, geopolitical reason, for this happening now. Anyone been following whatâs going on in that part of the world?
As for the complete evil that are drones and their users, itâs worth remembering that 9 children(yes, just the children) were killed in Pakistan, on average for every target hit. Now thatâs fucking horrendous, but then factor in how dodgy the Intel on the target is. If you doubt that, just look how many people have been taken to Guantanamo Bay, locked up and tortured for years, only to be released without charge.
So the United States of World Horrors and subservient poodle(thatâs us) have assassination lists based on bogus Intel, that we(and masters) then unleash on countries we are not at war with, slaughtering innocent children, whilst trying to illegally kill someone whoâs probably innocent anyway.
No trial, no evidence, no justice.

Sri Lanka has previous with many Tamils being Muslim.
Also saw today some big attack was foiled in Saudi about the same time
Most Sri Lanka Tamils Iâve met have not been Muslin and on further investigation most are Hindus or Christian with some being Muslim. Its 10 years since the civil war came to an end. Maybe something to do with that.
