We will fight them on the beaches

Well, I guess the Polish finally understand the pressures of immigration…

Having read a bit more on this, it sounds like the Polish and the Belarusians are just ping-ponging these poor bastards across the border.

And the thing is, when most of the refugees are from Iraq, you can’t easily dismiss the Belarusian dictatorship blaming Western powers.

Refugees aren’t made in factories. They’re made in warzones, and the West has made plenty of those.

If it was only immigration it would have a different response.
The fact is Belarus was basically giving free flights from Iraq & other points using their own and 3rd party planes.
Promising entry to Europe.
They are doing it on a scale that dwarfs the Channel numbers.
Equally Lushenko has publicly said a Hybrid War state exists.
EU imposed sanctions he floods it with conned migrants.
Very few are refugees in the same category as the poor sods trying to get to Europe from Turkey.
This was fast track shit.

It is really hard to know what to do. Poland pushes them back. They stay in limbo. They let them in they will go straight to Germany & France.
They put them in camps? For how long? Forever? Who pays? This is a response to EU action not Poland.

It is a clusterfvck shots will be fired eventually

At least Iraq has turned off the flow

EU considering funding a wall

Didn’t they get stuck into Trump when he wanted to build his anti migrant wall

Slight difference between Migrants and warfare tbh

Walls are easier to get through than tank traps.

Well the people trying to get in are migrants - that Belarus has decided to weaponise them is the only difference

Climate Change Mob have a new tactic

This had better not catch on

Oh, I don’t know. Like massive 4x4’s are really needed in the south of England? :man_shrugging:t3:

Well my Diesel SUV is more environmentally friendly that a 10 year old diesel ford fiesta of similar engine size so maybe they should be attacking old diesel cars instead.

In fact based on this maybe they should be letting the tyres down of EV cars (this is a couple of years old)

Austrian thinktank Joanneum Research has just published a large-scale study commissioned by the Austrian automobile association, ÖAMTC, and its German counterpart, ADAC, that also confirms those findings. According to this study, a mid-sized electric passenger car in Germany must drive 219,000 km before it starts outperforming the corresponding diesel car in terms of CO2 emissions. The problem, of course, is that passenger cars in Europe last for only 180,000km, on average.

But the question is, do you (I mean anyone with a Chelsea tractor type product) really need a SUV when there are more environmentally friendly options out there? OK they may be smaller but as I keep telling the wife, size isn’t everything

Yes because I have deep seated insecurities that can only be solved by SUVs and eating red meat

On a serious point no, I don’t. I may consider an electric / hydrogen car in the future, but they need to be as convenient to refill / recharge as a normal car. A friend, has an electric car and was particularly smug during the petrol crisis recently, however, a couple of things have happened since that have entrenched my position for now.

He went for a weekend down to the west country and had booked a hotel which had charge points. He had enough range to get there and a little way back home again. When he got there the charge point was out of order. No problem he thought, there was a services with charge points nearby, he would go there on the way home. So he did, and found that all the points were taken and the owners had fucked off inside for something to eat. Half an hour later he was able to get at on of the charge point, where he had to wait for another half hour while his car charged.
