Iā€™m going to enjoy the N Shropshire by-election. Thereā€™s probably zero chance of ovecoming a 22000 majority but itā€™ll be fun. Iā€™ve been co-oped to the LibDem campaign team and canā€™t believe how fast things are happening. Ed Davey is visiting tomorrow: looking forward to meeting him.

Whatever their failings, LibDems do like a by-election.

Poland already has its doubts about the EU. Being a stepping stone into Germany during these provocations wonā€™t ease them
