I agree, I have simply said since having kids my position isn’t as strong as it once was.

We are a very decent society compared to most of the Worlds shitholes, I know, I believe I have always said this.

Just accept that the personal thoughts about what you might want to do to anyone who hurt your family is natural and understandable. But it’s also why these decisions are made In Parliament without that horrendous emotional Turmoil any parent would go through.

I don’t think the justice system is strong enough now, life should mean life (in some circumstances in sentencing), tariffs being cut make a mockery of the sentence, good behaviour should be a standard not a carrot for release earlier.
The debate of justice, retribution and rehabilitation is as long as life itself, lady justice in liberal western nations is ripped in two by wordsmiths and caveat seeking bloodsuckers.

I completely agree that a sentence should be a sentence and also think that many sentences for murder are too short. Instead of offering time off for good behaviour perhaps they should consider increasing sentences for poor behaviour?
Whilst I don’t agree with capital punishment, I also think that murderers (depending on the circumstances of the crime) should not have the opportunity of spending a large proportion of their lives as free people again. They have taken lives and caused untold grief to these people’s loved ones. Their lives should never be the same again.

Cases like Kenneth Noye spring to mind, if you’ve committed a heinous crime you shouldn’t expect privilege for good behaviour, we have a far larger responsibility to the victims than the perpetrator, there are of course exceptions to this but on the whole prisoners have far too many rights based upon their political, religious beliefs and what they committed, a crime is a crime.

One of my gripes is how “Public Services” became a cost
Costs get cut.
Housing people in jails is a cost. So find ways to reduce cost = less jail time.
(Same equation applies to pot holes in the road NHS)
Some nations still invest in Services, most cut costs.
Sadly, Trump will see he has cut costs.

Some good news amongst all the gloom.
Stephen Yaxley-Lennon aka Tommy Robinson has been banned from attending all football matches for four years after he was filmed punching another fan outside an England match in Portugal. He is banned from “all regulated football matches, home and abroad” for four years - meaning he will miss the 2022 World Cup and the next two European Championship tournaments.
The cheeky sod has put his mansion in Essex on the market and is seeking to relocate to Spain! I thought he was one of the leading lights in the taking back control of our sovereign nation brigade, a flagshagger of the highest order. What on earth will Nigel and Arlene say!

I suspect after years of shitting on his own doorstep, he has found that he is not welcome in many places in the UK and some anonymity in Marbella with the other ne’er-do-wells is quite appealing

Not really disagreeing, but what of young ‘kids’ drawn into trouble, gangs, robbery due to poverty who when young and stupid make big mistakes that as you say have huge consequences… yet as they mature, grow wiser and recognise the inherent wrong with what they have done, should we not give them an opportunity to be contributing members of society? Note, I did not say deserve… its too contentious after murder. But ultimately I think there are many factors that should be taken into consideration, maybe not so much in the sentencing tariffs, but certainly with respect to parole and when and what that means?

I’ve always been deeply suspicious of the air time this cunt gets.

They had a national demo and I think they only managed 300-400 fellow knuckle draggers.

My theory is that he’s something of a bogey-man, eagerly paraded by pro-Remainers to say how racist we’ve all become.

On the basis of his pitiful support. Madness.

This should get Bazza enraged.
“An enrobed Lord Lebedev of Hampton and Siberia introduced to the House of Lords with the support of Baron Ken Clarke”.
Everything that’s wrong with the modern UK encapsulated in one sentence there.
Interesting that in the week when John Le Carre passed away the son of a high ranking KGB officer takes his seat in our parliament!

I saw the clip of the odious little twat punching the guy. He also has previous when it comes to fisty cuffs. Nasty piece of work. The Spanish are welcome to him.

He’s got a cracking right hand on him though and even though he’s a bellend he gets assaulted a lot and woke snowflakes don’t rush to his defence thereby advocating violence.

Live by the sword, die by the sword perhaps Barry?

No, its just snowflakes and the woke lot only like violence they dish out as they perceive it as fair, they’re all part of the same shit.

He had a couple of milkshakes splashed over him.

ReesMoog once again feeling left out in the biggest cunt of 2020 award running so make a last minute dash to prove he is worthy…

I think you find us “snowflakes” don’t like violence, full stop. Perhaps if Stephen/Tommy wasn’t so keen to use his fists he wouldn’t find himself in those situations? It probably doesn’t help his cause that he took his name from another well known football hooligan/thug.

You have to wonder what goes on in this bloke’s head. Surely he must have realised that his comments were not going to help his uncaring government look anything other than an even more uncaring bunch of cunts.

He just has no comprehension or understanding of anyone outside of his, and I hate to use the phrase, “social class” - Albeit his wife was the one with the money originally so I understand.
