Not at all, I am just interested in the logic or lack of it behind what is seems quite ingrained negative opinions on people. If the response remains illogical or based on rumour or hearsay/gossip etc, then it’s fair to point that out. It might not alter your opinion, but thats not the intention.
The influence the media (and more recently social media) has on how folks form opinions is obvious, I tend to treat opinions based on such things with caution…

To be fair there is disagreeing and there’s being sanctimonious in commentary when other’s comment’s don’t fit a particular point of view.

Ah the old ‘sanctimonious’ charge… wondered when that would rear its head, as its so predictable… You and a couple of others wheel it out when you probably realise you are trying to defend a POV that is really not defensible… just like on occasion in that spiteful shit hole called the woke thread.
If challenging folks as to why they believe certain things that have no logical basis or are simply prejudices is being sanctimonious, well happy to be labelled as such.
