Surely the idea is that ultimately, stoppage time ought to return to “normal” levels once managers have given up on coaching their sides to timewaste. Personally I think it’s a good idea, I’m sick of the overt cheating. Now, if we can just introduce some additional sanction for the cynical “professional” foul as well…

If the trainer comes on or there are subs - stop the clock
then blow the whistle on / after 90 minutes the next time the ball goes out of play unless it’s a free kick / penalty
