šŸ‘‘ šŸ”– The end of the second Elizabethan era

Couldnā€™t agree more, with the proviso that others shouldnā€™t get pelters because they do happen to give a toss.

Yep, see comments above

A welcome byproduct of the death of Liz is the lack of adverts on commercial tv and radio.

I watched King Charles III address, and as far as an ā€œis what it isā€ performance goes, you couldnā€™t ask for much better. I donā€™t mind admitting that on a personal level, I was quite moved by the end.

However much planning has gone into this, thatā€™s his mum and heā€™s had to sit before the nation and grieve in public.

Fair play.

Me and the bird couldnā€™t decide whether he delivered that live, or pre-recorded. He looked very close to breaking down a few times.

Pre-recorded I reckon. There were a few camera shifts that seemed convenient.

If theyā€™ve had this planned for years, why leave live TV to chance when you could just have it in the bag?

Thereā€™ll be plenty of channel 5 style pseudo documentaries on the subject

There have already been loads of announcements about the plans for that day.

If you were organising it, what would you do?

Live or pre-recorded?

Live. Always live.

:man_shrugging:t3:

Personally speaking.

Iā€™d want everything in the bag and nothing left to chance.

Call me prepared if you must

Watching it again, the camera cuts were obvious. If live then fair play to him. I couldnā€™t have done it the day after.

Just looked it up, it was pre-recorded. Doesnā€™t say when.

Edit, just found out, it was in 1974 :+1::+1:
