Doesn’t look like TV debates will be happening with May

She’s a spineless fucking coward just like Cameron. If you want to lead this country, come out and speak to us on a fair platform and stop with the pointless fucking power moves. Cunts.

That’s what Cameron said to begin with.

If she digs her heels in, she’ll be empty chaired. It’s telling that she presently seems to prefer not appearing in front of the nation and looking like an idiot in absentia, to appearing on TV and removing all doubt.

I’d expect the media clamour to make either outcome very unpalatable for them, especially when dovetailed with the 30 arrests the CPS are due to make in early May. A week is a long time in politics. Seven weeks is an eternity.

She has Lynton Crosby running her campaign. He’ll know she can’t dodge the TV debates without harm.

Prob feels like she ain’t got a lot to gain. Corbyn needs to earn himself a debate by giving a better show in the fkn Opinion Polls, before he can force that sour-faced old dragon to stand up on TV and debate 6th Form Ideology with Him.

Was thinking about voting tactically this time. I live in a very safe Tory seat but UKIP are the second strongest party! Labour were third last time but well behind UKIP. It might have to be a picture of a cock!

Going to be great watching lefties losing again. What’s the excuse gonna be this time ?

Bitter old men posting anonymously on internet forums at 4 in the morning.

I wouldn’t worry about lefties losing when you’ve clearly already finished last.

Careful @mrtrampoline this is the future that awaits you.

I’ve got to admit, @lord-duckhunter - I think May’s timing _could be _excellent.

Depends on whether Brexit is a Falklands moment, when Thatcher overturned disastrous poll numbers due to involvement in that conflict.

Or it could be the sort of moment Churchill enjoyed in 1945. Thank you very much for the victory, but we’d like someone else to guide what happens afterward.

Right now, it’s looking more Falklands than owt else, but the scrutiny that May should get could change that.

It’s like the 80s never happened.

Corbyn (Foot), May (Thatcher) and Trump (Reagan) with a new Cold War and increased nuclear threat in the offing. Intransigent fucktards the lot of them

Oddly enough, I haven’t enjoyed anything Toynbee has written since Corbyn was elected.

There does sound like a lot of tactical voting to be had at this election.

I have heard labour supporters saying they will vote Tory to ensure that brexit actually happens.

I have heard the complete opposite

Lots of people spoiling ballot papers

Even couple of labour supporters voting tory to ensure that Corbyn is removed once and for all

I have a feeling that polls are going to count for shit (even more so than usual)

So the glorious enforcers of Democracy are already calling for Ballot Papers to be spoilt. Tactical Voting (ie voting for someone you do NOT support) and no doubt the actual turn out of voters on the BIG DAY will be somewhere around 2/3rds of the electorate - meaning 1/3 couldn’t give a fuck.

I bet all those citizens of all the Nations that The West have Bombed into Democracy will be feeling very proud of you all.

Think May has taken a massive gamble tbh. If she is not careful Corbyn could end up resigning June 9th, and that would be major disaster for Conservative Party. I spose she has an image of Corbyn grimly clinging to 2 seats, talking about building a movement, but I wouldn’t bank on it srs.

One interesting point to consider - will any of the MPs caught up in the expenses scandal be selected or will they be de-selected

A successful election will sort out this problem by removing the issue although (from a sitting MP stand point) or by creating a majority large enough that the Tories can survive some fall out without a significant impact on their majority

With you on this DP - seems like voting has now been opened for 5 year olds. Do CBeebies have an alllegiance to anyone?

The one chance to vote for what you believe in, and guess what, if if enough of you believe it, it just may happen. If you think enough people don’t believe, get out there and tell people why they perhaps should. If no-one stands for what you believe, then get out there and stand for yourself.

Why on Earth would you vote for something you do not believe in, or spoil a ballot paper - knowing that with your one chance you actually did not stand for what you believed in?

B-but that’s what I believe in! Democracy is gay, politicians are shithawks, and voting is pointless.

I’m with you in some way tho. Lot of people in America tried spoiling their ballot papers by drawing a dick on them, but they ended up being counted as Trump votes.

So the woman that said there will be no election, now wants a mandate from the people for something she felt entitled to already set in motion.

She seems confused, so it’s not surprising that she is scared to have a tv debate and has now refused.

People trust this woman. Really?

Why would she ever agree to a debate - in the last two elections it has amplified the voices of minority parties, Nicke Clegg and Nicola Sturgeon. May has absolutely nothing to gain and everything to lose from taking part.
