The 2017 Election Thread

Apparently Labour Mps have a few nicknames for Corbyn as well.

So they’re going to nationalise GP surgeries?

Liberals are the original splitters and in reality tories with a conscience, I’d rather have a tory bastard than a liberal, wishy washy nothing bollockness.

I knew there was something amiss with this place for the last few days but couldn’t put my finger on it. Then Bazza pops back up with some ‘bollockness’. Order is restored.

So, just as he says he’ll probably vote Labour, what does the supposed Labour supporter do? No wonder the nazis do so well. You’re their secret weapon Barry.

That said, i don’t disagree with any of the above.

So you agree with what I wrote, just end it there surely and not have a dig? You’re turning into SOG.

You’re ignoring the point Barry.

If someone says they don’t believe in the party they have previously supported, don’t belittle them, show them why your beliefs are better for all.

If you can’t do that. Give up or grow up.

So a person who says they’re dyed in the wool liberal is what exactly?

Confused.

Now help him understand.

Seriously? You are not all that bright are you Barry?

So much for tolerance then eh Barry? As for your statement, is it better to remain in a deeply split party and divide the vote or follow your conscience and take your politics elsewhere? Look at the fuss that is being made about the Labour Party at the moment. Would you say the divide between the Corbynites and the Blairites is doing them any favours. Do you remember someone called Winston Churchill? According to you, he was a splitter yet many say he was the greatest ever Englishman - something I would assume you would cream your jeans over. All political parties have gone through periods of change but as per usual you just focus on one that you have decided doesnt fit in with your world view (which it has to be said, is pretty limited). As for wishy washy nothing bollockness, I often wonder how you managed to father a child because your posting style is that of a prepubescent teenager. You might not like Lib Dem policies but they have them. They are also the Centre Party that both Labour and the Tory Party have fought to become over the last few decades. They have had an opportunity to clean up but through poor leadership have been squeezed out. In a very divided country there is nothing wrong in trying to find a way to govern that brings both sides together as much as possible, unless your name is Barry Sanchez of course, and then you get to call childish names.

So then, early stages but so far, the view from a few blokes sitting in the pub talking bollocks shows that Labour are picking up some of the protest votes already. Folkstone and Hythe is a solid Tory seat so no danger of an upset, but interesting that Corbyn is being seen as one of the few politicians with any kind of political backbone in the local at present. Could this be the start of a Trumpesque turnaround?

I’m certainly more encouraged. May had the initiative when calling this election. Sure, she’s got Lynton Crosby in to frighten the shit out of people.

Just as an example, if you’re earning less than £10 an hour, why the fuck wouldn’t you be voting Labour?

Add into the equation that there is a hint that the Tories might increase VAT/taxes.

I thought that everyone knew what the expression dyed in the wool meant? Oh well.

It means unchanging in a particular belief or opinion. Add liberal or socialist or Brexiter and you get someone who holds those strong beliefs. Its really not rocket science.

There’s not just a general election. the National Union of Students is also having an election and this guy is in with a chance. Can anyone guess which grouping of political societies he represents? (Clue: don’t let the red lettering influence you too much)
