I notice that this thread has been quiet for a bit.

Could it be that once again, Star Trek : Picard is a giant fucking dumpster fire and we’ve all stopped talking about it?

Oh, where to start with S7 Monsters?

Is it the Battlestar Galactica cross over?
TNG episode Tapestry?
Daddy issues?
The dropped coffee cup?
So much more…

Now we are seeing what this show is really about. And who saw that coming?

This is about Picard, the person, what made him a legend in Starfleet, yet it is about more, and with Kurzman on the sidelines Matalas is telling us THE story of Jean Luc.

S1 was a mess but it now was clearly about the pain in JL’s soul at the loss of Data in Nemesis.

S2 goes so much deeper. And darker.

And has Pat Benatar

Have to say me and Mrs C_S played catch up last week and got well pissed off when we got to the end of last week’s episode and have to wait a week.

@pap May poo poo it, but it has turned out better that I’d reasonably have expected.

Now have to wait another week as we have Mrs C_S Mother In Law for the weekend :rage:

Probably a good idea.

Excellent episode

Me and Mrs C_S thought some of the dialogue was a bit highbrow for a tv series and maybe suited to proper theater (no @pap before you say it not Picard The Musical )

The series has grown on me - probably not for the purists (at all) but it expands on the old (formulaic?) shit and is very watchable.

I’m struggling to see what you’re seeing, I’m glad you’re enjoying it but I just can’t engage with it (pun intended). I will watch it to the end as I’m committed now but it’s not doing anything for me :lou_sad:
