šŸ–– Star Trek returning to small screens :starfleet:

I think RedLetterMedia nailed the writing style of the LOST alumni some time ago. Basically, it entails making things move as fast as possible so that people don’t have the time to suss out it’s all a load of shit.

I will still happily watch TNG and its ilk, and when I do, it’s not normally the whizbang stuff I give a shit about. I like the ponderous episodes, the playful ones and those where a character goes through a big change.

I don’t think anyone is going to be flitting back to Picard in 30 years.

Which is all a long way of saying Star Trek Picard doesn’t get my Star Trek dick hard.

Different world.

Let’s put Patrick Stewart’s misses into Star Trek Universe singing a song what she wrote and give her career a boost said no one.
Genius they said

Then let’s video…

Is this a rift in the space time continuum?
Or the ghost of TOS era Enterprise coming to chastise me for enjoying Picard?

Right, I really don’t want to watch the wank that is called Star Trek Picard, but I am happy to put it to a public vote.

Should I watch the wank that is Star Trek Picard?

  • Yes
  • No
  • Yes, but only if it’s an Elden Ring style collaboration with Barry.

I voted YES because I know you’ll hate it

:wink::joy:

Tbf - for those who enjoy it - admittedly only me and @Polski_Filip - it’s actually ok, if you lose the trek-lore shackles.

I’d still do milf 7

I voted no because I’m a humanitarian :lou_wink_2:

Liar

:joy:

I voted yes.
But because while I know they are trying to be Trek, I think it’s actually about the character of Picard.
I think it is filling in the gaps in his psyche & what made him tick.
Oh and this week got better and is bringing those and the actual Trek story together

In fact it is worth watching for John de Lancie finally doing acting, and even (almost) Brent Spiner

Oh.
And if you don’t watch it, you’ll have to watch Moonknight or Outer Range both of which are head scratches for very different reasons

They had seven seasons to get Picard right, Phil
They did.

It’s everything after that’s the problem, including the TNG films except IX.

But it’s Patrick Stewart doing a swan song and getting a good paying gig for all his old Trek mates - Wouldn’t you?

Would you put MLT in the Saints team? Now?

No. But I’m not quite sure what you’re asking :man_shrugging:t3:

Would you put someone thirty years past his prime in a leading role in something that mattered?

No. I’ve been pointing out that he’s an old man, his vocalisation shows that, but see my last but one post.

Just enjoy it for what it is.

If you’re watching it in its entirety then your commentary / genuine critique is fine otherwise if not then it’s just you posting your prejudices isn’t it?

Yeah, but we own that shit…!

I’ve never seen any of these new ones, since Enterprise.

Are they cartoons, animation or have real actors?

Both :+1:
