🖖 Star Trek returning to small screens :starfleet:

But seriously I don’t disagree with you @pap it was just more jumping in before you and @Polski_Filip got in first.

Question is, where have you two tosspots been and why?

Edit: It’s 11:27, so assume @pap has succumbed to beer…

I succumbed to The Blacklist.

@pap is correct. Trek world has misgivings.

He also misses my big ? mark. 930 years ago, mankind were firing Bows Arrows & Seige Cannons. The future isnt very well, futuristic.

Both of those aside, it was still a good episode it still harked back to old Trek.and yes their plot holes were often bigger.

For me, forget The Cello. There was way more in there. Something is “off” with Oded the Admiral.
Something is REALLY off with David Cronenberg & now Philippa, and the whole Terran Universe reappearance in the dialogue.

Way more questions than putting a Seed Ship in an Ion storm for safety when we have seen planets blown up…

Good episode

Interesting discussion around it “the Burn” and Burnham are perhaps linked :sunglasses:

Equally I guess S3 is gonna be about finding out what caused The Burn.

Undoubtedly the Red Angel suit self destructing in the time vortex wormhole…

There is a wonderful minute moment of “special addition” lovingly added to Star Trek canon in this episode.
It affects nothing in the story, is no spoiler.
But it is well done.

Obviously I only noticed because I’m brilliant & uber attentive.
(Or maybe I read about it in FB & Twitter today)

The three black boxes Michael found come from…

  • the USS Yelchin, named for late Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin.
  • the Giacconi, named for Italian-American astrophysicist Riccardo Giacconi.
  • the Gav’Nor, possibly named for Tellarite Ambassador Gav or maybe it was a Klingon ship.

I think I prefer the third ship to have been named after our own forum stalwart!!
