Yeah Rohl is looking like a major loss. No idea why we didn’t replace him. That other video guy came in but he isn’t an assistant manager, like Rohl was.
So, we find ourselves in the same position as this time last year. It was a monumental effort from players and manager to avoid relegation last year and now we have to do it again. Sadly I don’t think the players or manager have the mental strength to pull it off, the pressure of that 9-0 defeat will weigh them down for a while yet and the longer we go without a win the worse the pressure will become. I don’t think it helps that Ralph persists with a system that our players can’t seem to cope with, and playing so many players out of position doesn’t seem to be doing their confidence any good, and now we have a couple of weeks for the players to dwell on the last 4 defeats.
At this stage I think selling Targett in the summer has proved very consequential, I questioned it at the time but this one has come home to roost, a lot of Ralph’s selection problems have come at that left back position.
Where we’re at now I think we need 6 points from our next 4 games just to stay in the mix, and I don’t see us getting those points. I also think if Ings stays fit he could get 15-20 goals this season, I also don’t think that will be enough. Sad times.

As many have pointed out, we are essentially playing the same team as last season with the exception of Djenepo.
So hardly surprising that we are getting similar (and worse) results.
If Danso wasn’t deemed an improvement on any of the existing CBs then he was an utterly pointless signing. Give him a run in the side in his favoured position and see what happens. Hard to imagine him doing worse than the others before him.
Jack Stephens played pretty much where Romeu played - covering and cutting out moves that the CMs should be dealing with. Because as you’ll see below, JWP was everywhere apart from in the centre of the park. Presumably because Everton were cute.
Jan Bednarek is deputising a lot for Armstrong at right wing-back. Again, that’s his job in a back three but he is having to cover Armstrong much more than he should because, guess what, Armstrong isn’t a right (wing) back.
Valery should have come on. Armstrong should have played in / in front of central midfield. I would have taken a CB off.
Bouff did make a difference of course, but the two attacking midfielders playing at wing back were at fault for the 2nd goal and we continued to look light in the centre.
Well, i will go completely left field and nominate Nigel Adkins. He’s available, unquestionably did a good job last time, will feel he has unfinished business and would have the goodwill of the supporters. We could do a lot worse IMO.
Ward Prowse has to be the most useless cunt i’ve seen in a Saints shirt in watching for 40 years. Today i watched the midfield intently and he was utter shite. He drags other players into things that they’d rather not do. Stephens had to push forward as there was no CM outlet. Romeu had to tackle for 2 players as WP can’t. Ings and Redmond have to drop back as there is no productive spine to the team. Playing the twat effectively means we have 10 on the pitch and others have to make up for his serious deficiencies. He hides behind oppo players, runs around in space, doing fuck all and always turns back to goal when he gets a pass. As long as he’s in the team, we will go down.
I’m really at a loss.
