🔮 :brexit: Post-Brexit prediction thread

Mark this day.

I drop a cultural reference and @Saint-or-sinner gets it.

I am very pleased. I was starting to suspect you were one of Fritzl’s kids

You just need to go back a couple of decades and i was as “normal” as everyone else(almost). I’ve become more Fritzl kid as i’ve aged.
Things i understand culturally will generally involve the words book and/or old.

As for the thread, my prediction is the same as it’s always been. Maybe i should have looked up my potential European/EU European/no designated continent entity/other European or whatever else designation years ago :lou_facepalm_2:

However you want to spin it, you can’t deny that the majority of leave voters are thick.

After 14 hours pouring through applications. I predict that EU companies employing MBA Graduates will know as much about selling outside the EU as UK firms.
I.E. Fvck all

And?

So were most of the Remain side.

That’s what happens in universal suffrage.

Wrong. The remain crowd have certainly convinced themselves of that though, that’s what feeds their unbearable attitude of smug superiority.

They believe their own press, or at the very least, the press that they like to read. You should have been here June 24th 2016. It was not pretty. You had people screaming “I am losing money now!”.

The Remain’s sides biggest blunder, apart from not making a positive case for their cause, was the equation of public dissatisfaction with the effects of uncontrolled immigration with a non-existent public dislike of immigrants.

The latter is racism. The former is a practical concern which every country in the world outside the EU has legislation to prevent.

Can we just agree that the English are very very thick no matter how they vote?

Your dismissive attitude sicken me…worked most of my life to perfect that. :rage:

I will apologise for my drunken and obvious fishing last night. Of course I don’t believe that all leave voters are thick. Just most of them. Especially the northern ones.

Rr that is not strictly true and a bit of an urban myth to be honest … what most remainers I spoke were pissed if with was the fact that all countries within the EU already have legislative mechanisms available to them to restrict immigration even from within the EU, and that access to benefits for example can be restricted to those who pay into the system… in effect the attractiveness of a country to go and work in can be made less so should a country wish to chose to… we could have had a sensible immigration policy without leaving the EU

It simply suited the Government to do fuck all about it as many industries did benefit from migrant labour and not just at yen cheaper end of the wage market.

So what fucked me and many remained off is that many were told and believed an exit from the EU was the only way - when it was not. So yes if you still believe that Brexit was the only way to control immigration from within the EU then that does suggest an element of ignorance… those spreading that lie may well have had more sinister motives…

Who are more thick - those who were born in the north or those, who despite having the advantage of being a southerner, moved there?

Moot point really…it’s an infectious disease. Fortunately the prevailing southwesterlies prevent the infection drifting south.

Depends how you define “The North”.

My opinion is that The North is where you go through when you travel from Scotland towards civilisation.

I think it safe to say in these parts the north begins just on the northern outskirts of Winchester.

THAT far North, you’re practically in the frozen wastes by then…

Ooh, goody. Vassal state of the US here we come.

It’s what people wanted when they voted to leave the EU.
