How dare you⦠people voted to be free of tyranny and for us to be free to make our own legislation and regulations so our business could thrive being free of the EU shackles⦠of course when we want to trade with any market, we then need to decide if we adopt their regulations and standards to ensure a deal is possibleā¦
⦠good news is we can buy a load of cheap stuff now made by slave labour/kids as we are no longer under EU rules on this ⦠If we insist other countries do not do this before we trade with them, will the Brexiteers get the irony?
Iām going to get one even though I only recently renewed. I donāt want people thinking Iām some sort of dirty EU bitch. I want my national identity to be entwined with a blue book that Iāll use a couple times a year. It seems silly to put my new passport in the drawer at home. Iām going to put it on display when it comes. Next to the photo of the Queen and my Diana wine glasses.
Iām going to start wearing blue only from now on. Maybe some gold embossing.
You know, I think I suddenly get brexit. I genuinely feel different, like I have a national identity now. I have a sense of belonging that Iāve never felt. I think the EU stole that identity from me when they have me gave a red passport. I just became another member of the EU superstate. Now though I feel liberated - and I donāt use that term lightly given the way we once liberated other Europeans from the Germans.
Once Iām wearing my blue/gold clothes I think Iāll plant a UK flag in my garden and have an impromptu street party. Im sure the shops will be full of bunting right now.
Whatās the most British cake I can make? Victoria sponge?
Oh shit, I just realised I donāt like scones.
I think you should deconstruct the coronation chicken sandwiches⦠and discard the ingredients from other commonwealth (invaded/ empire) countries that we stupidly celebrated back in ā53 as a statement of of new found independence and identity
Are you deliberately choosing to ignore the direct quote from her in my earlier post? We have a new passport. She brought it up, not āremainersā and sheās made it a centre piece by saying it gives us a new identity. No one is making this up. This is what the pro leave government have done and said - because itās what the leaver people want.
Lol, how fucking small time is this country? What next, a series of collectible stamps commemorating the heroes of Brexit, with Gove, Raab, Johnson and Corbyn immortalised for life.
Bet all the Northern knuckle draggers will love that.
