🔮 :brexit: Post-Brexit prediction thread

Forget about trade, there are more important things to consider.

Am i still a European and how is that defined?
I’m always going to be geographically European, but not economically European?

So the big question. Can i still buy a Interrail global pass?
Terms say.

“Only European residents can travel with an Interrail Pass.”

So, do i now need to buy a Eurail pass as a non economic European?

See how confusing it is. The one that sounds like it’s for everyone, is only for Europeans, but they don’t say which kind.
On the other hand, the one that basically fucking says EU rail is the one for non Europeans.

I only want to get somewhere without flying, enjoy the trip and not need a holiday just because of the stress of booking the fucking thing.

What do the Swiss or Norwegians do?

A deal with the EU.

Quit bitching and get buying.

But which one and am i a European resident?
Sorry, i don’t know any Swiss or Norwegians.

Surely the people that have been championing what’s happening know the answer?
It would be a bit worrying if it turned out they’re clueless on such matters🤔

So, that’s your main concern about the UK withdrawing from the EU, is it? That you won’t know which rail pass to use?

Yeah, that’s about it now.
Do you know the answer?
Barry said to ask the Swiss and you said you know some, so at the moment your my best hope. Already tried the FO and they haven’t got a clue(or care).

They’ve all got their reasons

  • Data roaming
  • Visa free access to second homes elsewhere
  • Feeling internationalist because they’re getting served coffee in Starbucks by a Romanian with a PhD on a British poverty wage.
  • Loving the EU ticks the “not a racist” box to affluent white people that only hang out with other affluent white people.
  • Sexual fantasies involving a threesome of Tusk, Barnier and Juncker

… None of which were compelling enough reasons for me to not keep power “as accountable and local as possible” (one of the EU’s own core beliefs!)

Always makes me laugh when liberals elites comment upon EU integration when they live in the whitest, most expensive and highly educated areas in the Country.
These white, rich and highly educated people would shit themselves in certain areas of this Country, they’d be eaten alive.

Fuck sake, just buy a ticket, if your main grievance is whether you’re entitled to a senior discount on some train going up Hanz Vanking mountain just shell out and enjoy.

Do you remember all the stories about going to university being a big social indicator in how people voted?

The implication was because graduates were generally inclined to Remain, Leave voters must be thick. Even if they didn’t go there, Remainers could take the soft option of saying their side was better educated, with total justification.

That’s all well and good until you consider two things. That the biggest factor for going to university in the first place is social class. That, and useless degrees.

These fuckers haven’t lived in the real World and yet pass judgement on the rest of us, they still don’t understand why the vote turned out the way it did and that is the reason.
A generation of patronising sneers at the working class has got us here and the tories milked it, fucking liberals.
Class is the biggest enemy/barrier of/in this Country, not race, not religion, class.

Most people who post online about politics have enough time and energy left in their days to both engage in research and record their own opinions.

That is a luxury that many working class people do not have if they want to fit anything else into their lives beyond financial survival, let alone a serious perusal of everything Brexit involves.

When I last worked alongside minimum wage peeps, the Eastern European kids were happy as Larry, on an overseas adventure that’d net them some serious wedge back home, prepared to slum it for a bit. Fair play to them. We’d probably have both done the same if we were them.

The problem is that the British contingent that were trying to do the same simply cannot on one wage. I knew one mush that had two other jobs. How much time will he have had to do a line-by-line review of the Lisbon Treaty?

I guess what I am trying to say is that there is an element of truth in working class people being less informed about the issue and the consequences, but I also think it is deeply unfair to demonise them for this when they’re spending most of their lives working in a system where you can go out for 40 hours a week and still not make enough money to live.

Beautiful.

True.

So you don’t know the answer.
You could just say so.

Anyone?

It’s a good effort, but no. Unless we’re talking about chickens again?

We’re talking about the meaning of life.

It’s 42.

No, we’re not and never trust a hitchhiker.
Do you not know the answer either?
That’s at least three of us then
I’m looking at October, so still a European in both respects?
