I’m finding all the chat on this thread bizarre. I worked yesterday it was a normal day. Today I took the kids to Saturday school, got takeaway for lunch and got myself and the kids haircuts at the Kurdish barber. Apart from a few flags I’ve seen little evidence of any kind of party atmosphere. Admittedly I don’t have a TV. I must say from what I’ve seen posted here I’m not sure I’m missing out on much. Looks fucking dreadful.

There are people who love the monarchy and there are those who really don’t.
We all got 4 straight days off (unless you worked obvs).
People enjoyed it (the days off not the wall to wall BBC monarchist love-fest) in their own personal way.
