Reports that unusual shorting of Israeli stocks prior to 7th October could have netted traders up to ÂŁ100m

Whose sticky little fingers is on that?

Who supplied the Paragliders
Who packed them into Containers and labeled them as Aid
Who inspected the Aid containers before they were passed through customs into Egypt & on into Gaza (or even over one of the Israeii border posts.

There are SO many questions long before you get to that side - like the core weapons Hamas are using to fight the IDF
etc etc etc etc

So basically Iran supplied several hundred grand worth of gear, caused mayhem in the Middle East and made a tidy profit to boot

But we know exactly who provides the mountains of armaments to the IDF - hint the country on the UN Security Council who vetoed the vote for an immediate ceasefire (& the UK cowardly abstained). Isn’t it weird that Russia voted for the ceasefire and a lot of people unfortunately have to agree with them.

Dropping this here

Not going well is it

There is a balance here
Hamas will be destroyed - this is the “local” game.
Netandickhead is tied to that no matter his own politics

His support is solid.

His & the IDF efficiency is not quite as they say it will be.

The end game will be when the fvck ups outweigh the Hamas destruction

Not an opinion of mine just reality

It’s not surprising - ‘friendly’ fire is more common in military actions than people realise

Young man with gun under extreme stress has to make split second decision - not sure you could design a worse set of conditions

Awkward

Probably doesn’t matter, it would all have been a pack of lies anyway.

What’s the difference between politicians and lawyers?

The politician lies about everything. So does the lawyer, but in Latin.

They missed a couple.

What an absolutely bestial regime. Surely the time has come for the civilized world to put a stop to this fascist behaviour by Israel, by any means necessary.

Hush now, you anti-semite

That would be the response if you ever dare utter that in public

I have to be honest and say that I really don’t give a fuck if people don’t understand what Anti-Semitism is, that’s their problem.
News this morning that the Al Israa university in Gaza has disappeared from the map after it was blown up and completely destroyed by Israeli forces who had been using it as a military base for several weeks. Upon leaving they reduced the whole campus to rubble. This is called self defence apparently! This is, of course, all part of the plan, like the destruction of cemeteries, schools, hospitals, most public buildings and housing in Gaza, which will leave Gaza uninhabitable for any returning Gazans, and will then be occupied by resettled Israelis. And of course the estimated $50 billion of oil and gas deposits under Gaza has absolutely no bearing at all. It’s all self defence!
If any other nation on earth was behaving in this manner, openly targeting and slaughtering civilians, women, children, a record number of journalists etc etc, there would be uproar around the western world. But it appears that the State of Israel has a free pass to commit clear war crimes on a daily basis, with our elected leaders all singing from the same hymn sheet, occasionally muttering weasel words of disapproval, but in reality cheering them on. “We hope you win!” It shames us all.

How would you describe the October 7th attacks which triggered all this? Queensberry Rules?

It’s worth noting that while people are swift to suggest that Jews and the Israeli State are two separate groups and criticism of the second doesn’t imply condemnation of the first, Hamas boasts 72% support among the Palestinian public.

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/poll-shows-palestinians-back-oct-7-attack-israel-support-hamas-rises-2023-12-14/

But this is surely a disproportionate response and fucking indefensible- not that countries like the UK or USA are going to condemn it and impose any repercussions on Israel

Bloody hell. David Cameron talking about recognising Palestine.

Probably just talk but even talk of the prospect is extraordinary
