đŸ‡źđŸ‡± Israel

1200 people were killed by Hamas in the 7th October attack. 2996 people were killed in the 2001 WTC attacks, and on the strength of that and nothing else, we wiped out pretty much an entire country which wasn’t even involved in the attack we (or rather the yanks, with our backing) were responding to. In the process, we admitted to killing over 100,000 people although the true figure is likely to have been between two and five times that.

The West is shit isn’t it.

If you had spoken to any human with links or Jewish family history they knew exactly what Netanyahu was going to do, and they knew it was the only way anything was / could change.

Those conversations were heartbreaking and weren’t debates or opinions. It was what was going to happen

No more so than anywhere else, but yes.

Well if that is the only way they think things could change then it is showing the sign of a morally bankrupt society imho obviously.

A lot more than many other places tbf.

Only 70 fuckin’ years late. :lou_facepalm_2:

I suspect that should we survive a couple more decades, (more likely in your case than mine tbf,) you’ll be looking at Britain and Europe and pining for the “good” old days we’re currently experiencing. I don’t think many are prepared for the absolute shitstorm that we’re racing full-tilt towards. The victims of the future will blame us for doing nothing to stop it, and they’ll be right.

That’s going to thoroughly rattle Israel, they’re usually such passionate respecters of international law.

Good to see Jon Stewart’s return to The Daily Show this week.

Although this clip was from 9 years ago.

That’s quite brilliant. Fair play.

Impressive they’ve managed to kill so many in such a short space of time compared to the c32k that the Russians have managed to kill in their ongoing Special Operation

The Israelis have never seemed particularly bothered about world opinion, tbh. Even way back in the day when Vanunu exposed their nuclear weapon capabilities, they basically just shrugged and carried on with it regardless.

Israel has put the Yoo Ess of A firmly on the Naughty Step for declining to block the ceasefire resolution.

I don’t know if any of you caught the interview with this hideous woman yesterday

I saw it, people really shouldn’t be surprised, it’s always been the plan. She is a particularly vile woman though, refused to deny the accusation of ethnic cleansing which of course is what it is. Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner was saying the same as her a few weeks ago, describing the Gaza beachfront as prime real estate, an opportunity for Israeli settlers to grab a slice of it as if it’s virtually a done deal. Which it probably is. The Palestinian residents of Gaza don’t come into the equation with these fascists, they are non-people, human animals, cockroaches in the eyes of a large proportion of Israelis.

They really don’t give a fuck for world opinion, international law, right and wrong. They are God’s chosen people and they can do whatever they like.

Good on Sir Alan Duncan, he may be a Tory but he is right on the money here. Of course he was one of the MPs targeted by the Israeli diplomat Shai Masot from the Israeli Embassy in London when he was secretly recorded talking to Conservative friends of Israel discussing moves to “Take him down”. Our politicians,(in both main parties) need to decide in who’s interests they serve, ours or a foreign state currently committing war crimes in plain sight, including targeting and slaughtering civilian aid workers, including three British citizens.
