đŸ‡źđŸ‡± Israel

I guess this is salient here, but as it could equally belong elsewhere I’ll post it there too.

The Jews have always wanted a homeland to go to, you think it started just over 100 years ago? Maybe I assumed too much

I agree they’re two totally separate things altogether, but racists and anti-Semites can’t tell the difference or don’t want to. They seem to think Israel is the same as South Africa.

Can you further the “in part” as it simply sounds like a caveat to your view.

It’s not my view Barry. It is well documented that Israel helped create Hamas by funding them to the tune of millions of dollars. They obviously had no input to who Hamas recruited hence my ‘in part’, although i am probably being over generous to Israel there. I assume that Brig. Gen. Yitzhak Segev, the Israeli military governor in Gaza in the 1980s knows what he is talking about. Perhaps he’s just making it up, along with many other Israeli officials who confirm his record of events! It is fact that Israel played the major part in creating Hamas for their own selfish political reasons as they saw it at the time. A secular PLO clearly troubled them as the last thing they needed were non Islamic fundamentalists representing the displaced people of Palestine. Israel needed an enemy who would give them justification to the West for their brutal and murderous treatment of Palestinians. It suited them just fine to have the comparatively moderate PLO replaced by fundamentalists. The fact that a few Israeli citizens have been killed as a result of their selfish decision is, i’m sure, a price worth paying.

Plenty more where that came from, before you start screaming ‘tin foil hat’. NY Times, Washington Post, Wall St Journal.

Last July, the Israeli government enacted a law stating that only Jewish people have a full right to self-determination within Israel. Here’s a report of it from that well-known radical organ, the Daily Telegraph:

Not surprisingly, this is seen by many as being tantamount to apartheid - hence the comparisons with South Africa. I can’t see why it would be antisemitic or racist to hold that view.

Helping create, not create, an offshoot from the Muslim Brotherhood, a slight but significant difference. They were already there, many nations initially gave them funding.
Things change in politics and war, enemies become friends and friends become enemies.
The Hamas then isn’t the one know and the same for the donor states.

Because they’re in a vastly different theatre for a start, Palestinian (Hamas) political view is either for the destruction of Israel or a failure to recognise it, South Africa was a struggle for rights within an already established Country.
You can say they’re human rights issues and you’d be right, apartheid? Yes but very different, and if anyone thinks Israel is going to cede land, rights or their nation is going to end up shouting at clouds.
The Israelis deal with nations who aren’t shit hot at their own human rights as well, Russia and China won’t want a one state solution, two state is the only way.

Hamas no more represents all Palestinian opinion than Likud represents all Israeli opinion; furthermore, there are plenty of Israeli Palestinians who are not calling for the destruction of the state of Israel, as the article I posted makes abundantly clear.

The point here is that Israel has passed a law that effectively places a sizeable proportion of its own citizens in a second-class tier, giving them less than equal rights. This is why Israel is being compared to South Africa under apartheid. Israeli has around two million Palestinian citizens, plus of course the additional five million living under Israeli control in the West Bank and Gaza, who aren’t even given Israeli citizenship.

This has nothing to do with racism or antisemitism, as you previously claimed that it did.

I said this earlier.

Israel has long been compared to South Africa and apartheid long before this.
There is anti-Semitism wrapped up in this as a convenience package, of course there is, these wonderful middle eastern democracies where human rights are cherished only want to bring Israeli and Arab together

As ever, it’s pointless trying to hold a sensible discussion with you. TTFN

You still failed to answer about the points deduction and when that occurred, I wonder why? TTFN.

These figures are shocking.

“It is now sadly a fact that more children than Palestinian fighters are being killed in the offensive on Gaza by the state of Israel. This in itself should be shocking until you see the numbers. 28 per cent killed are five years and under, 92 per cent are sixteen and under with 8 per cent aged 17 and 18 – but still classed as minors. More babies aged under 24 months die than those aged over 16 years.”

These are children. What kind of animal targets innocent children?
But read past that, to the Mark Curtis bit and our involvement is laid out in its full ugly truth.

so someone I know met up with an old mate recently. Has lived in Gaza quite some time. Lovely people. Confirmed that there are snippers just taking out people all over the place. Including kids

Euphemistically known as “mowing the lawn”, apparently.

It’s a slow motion genocide, and if you try to point that out, using words, you’re accused of being something like a genocidal maniac.

Indeed cunts
but they have manipulated it so that anyone criticising this completely morally corrupt dispicable behaviour is an anti Semite
well fuck it, in that case I am an anti-Semite as watching soliders beat up civilians is what we saw is SA in the 70s and 80s
