Couldn’t we use him right now
I’ll tell you what would help. That video of the topless midget and the hard-on. Give us all a laugh, that would
Caption it “Jones sees the size of the task facing him.”
Errrm yeah, that one’s gonna get you a perma-ban if you post it
(DM scotty for the link- if you have no shame…)
Twitter is for Olds.
Oh, wait….
I thought you might want to post it.
I have some sense of self-preservation
In a day or two, we can change the caption to “Sports Republic Pulls The Trigger On Jones”.
We wish.
Don’t think they will.
In fact I forecast we won’t and would bet on it if 1. I could here 2. I had any money
CB Saint peers myopically into the “Fuck OFF Nathan Jones” thread hoping for salvation.
CB Saint’s forehead hits the desk as he realises that the shitshow continues
We’ve all said it before - a bunch of fairly good players do NOT turn into useless pricks overnight, so in my mind there is only one person to blame for the current performance of our players.
I do genuinely feel that severe damage has already been done. If Jones stays, which it appears he is going to, do the fans really want to watch this style of football? I suspect not, and if crowds start reducing and/or getting nasty, this will affect the players and the situation worsens.
No consolation, but Ajax seem to having the exact same problem, only what is at risk for them is failure to qualify for champions league, not relegation!
The current situation redefines by definition the extent of ‘untenable’.
It really is quite extraordinary that he is still in a job.
Not sure if this has already been posted but worth a read
‘‘Nathan Jones won’t be at the forum, presumably because he can’t be trusted to keep a lid on it’’
Pretty accurate summation.
Southampton fans bombard the club’s Twitter account with ‘#JonesOUT’
While I totally agree with this, I do think it’s worth remembering that most of the same players who currently feature were here at the back end of last season and the start of this, and most have been poor, or very poor throughout.
Obviously we all hope / want / expect them to improve, which definitely has not happened but is it realistic? JWP has not been the same since the World Cup omission for example. Someone else might improve 7/8 players by 20% but they need to have the midas touch
Good point. Perhaps I’m looking at things with some hope that the players would be better, or good enough, with a good coach.
