Marsch sacked. That’s buggered up a hell of a lot of bets on Jones being next.
It seems like yesterday Jones was bragging in a post match interview that his win % was 50%.
True - but not having won hardly anything since, his win % now is deplorable, and would have been enough for at least 19 other PL teams to get rid of.
But it appears that we have to wait until this hits less than 10%, or some worse stat.
Has that buggered up Philippine saint’s latest treble?
I’m trying to make sense of the decision to give Jones a stay of execution and it makes me feel very uncomfortable.
Clearly SR, or someone in SR still believes in their metrics and data and also believes he can come good, despite almost universal agreement that he is out of his depth, isn’t good enough a coach at this level, has alienated the entire fanbase and some of the players and coaching staff.
So how far will they be prepared to go to see if his approach can work? Sack Selles? Marginalise any player who won’t buy in to his hoofball? Even if he does manage to put out “his” team there’s a terminally divided dressing room.
What will the team look like on Saturday? The atmosphere will be toxic and I’m assuming we’ll lose and in fact my nightmare would be “his” team scraping a lucky win or draw. Because then we’d probably hear that the corner has been turned and we have to follow Jones’s approach. No thank you.
We need a massive protest throughout the Wolves game to get a message to the stubborn egos on the Board. I don’t think I’ve ever felt worse as a Saints fan
OR
SR need a couple of days to sound out possible replacements because they cannot wait around for weeks looking and can then blame a break down on the training ground
Need the protest to start tomorrow night at the Youth Cup game. I might go.
nah only have a single and double on today but i think the double is buggered already by some sllack Lazio players
come on you were there during the Branfoot era
I was thinking the same. If anyone felt better during Branfoot than now, then they were stronger than me for sure
Oops.
No, not the Tweet, the replies
Those were my absent years after I left Soton and the cost of wife, children and mortgage didn’t allow me to go to games. And without social media irt wasn’t as close
you lucky bastard
Are you watching Monza v Sampdoria? Gabbiadini has just scored the opener, Djuricic also playing.
no but i did have lazio and Monza in a double which i cashed out for less than i put on so my fault Sampdoria scored
he’s got a brace now as Sampdoria lead 1-2
