:hccc: šŸ Hampshire Cricket!

I was going to try to do both Lord’s and the Emirates. We managed it in 1991 - nipped out to Loftus Road in the middle then back for most of our run chase. In 2012 though, with a 50 over a side game (60 in 1991) it wasn’t quite possible. Thank god for that - I missed a 6-1 drubbing and caught one of the best games of cricket I’m ever likely to see

Well, well, well … on the day England regain the Ashes, Hampshire produce an excellent bowling performance by dismissing Warwickshire for 125 with Fidel Edwards and 18 year-old Mason Crane taking 5 wickets each!

Hampshire lead by 160 on the first innings; will they enforce the follow on?

Perhaps this season has a little more life in it after all…

Feck me they’re actually playing this morning, is it not pissing down at the Rose Bowl then?

Well, well a 216 run win. Lets see if they can kick on from that…

Great - pretty fair I think, we would have won on D/L if they’d have played a few more overs

Just when Hampshire need to bear in mind the weather and score fast, we are 1-2 and then scoring at 2.5 an over…

80-3 from 18.2 overs, just over 4 an over, match reduced to 34 overs…

You never know the pitch may be a bowlers delight and the Hampshire bowlers will rip through the Gloucestshire batting.

Also, I’m a bit confused here, being born in Gloucester and living in Dorset where should me loyalties lie?

Geographically?

Probably Wiltshire.

But if in doubt, Aaaampshire!

Ah but I live on the Aaaaaampshirt/Dorset border and Aaaaaaampshire did use to play at Dean Court, soooo…

Anyway 2 quick wickets whilst we’re chasing the runs, 131-5 off 26.4 overs.

We’re fucked, commentators saying track will only get better for the batters, Hapshire need to get over 180 to be competitive…

Doesn’t look anything like enough runs and I fear for a bit of rain and a modest total over less overs.

Let’s hope the wicket collapses like a Titchfield gutter.

Adams out for 97 (99), 195-6 31.5 overs.

2.1 overs left

Great effort!

Need the bowlers to strangle their innings now.

217-7, Smith 50 from 25 balls, caught last ball trying to heave another big 6

wickets starting to fall, pressure building…

Gloucester win by 4 wickets with an over to spare.

Boo, hooray, boo, hooray!!

I think that was two dodgy overs that cost - never mind.

Though in classic internet forum style I suppose i should really launch into a rant and throw my tickets back while refusing to attend another game until the management are all executed - messages I will of course deliver as I froth at the mouth.
