đŸ“ș GOOD SHOWS (no capeshit pls)

Is that unusual?

Back to Under the Dome.

Does justice to the book yes it is goodTV.

And the leading Ginger Actress Britt Robertson is gonna star in a lot of my dreams from now on.

(When I get Blue lights out my system)

And yes I can say that 'cos Mrs D_P “likes” Barbie.

It is a very well done show hope it stays true to the book for the rest of the show

With my work hat on I am a bit worried about Morty. Grandad really isn’t a suitable carer.

And the other one Rachelle Lefevre -

Currently half way thtough Top of the Lake series 2. The critics gave it a right panning but, so far, we are enjoying it. Elizabeth Moss is always good value (even if she seems to be type cast after Mad Men) and Brienne of Tarth is a worthy sidekick. Jane Campion’s depiction of men is rather withering and if women were portrayed in the same way it would be called one dimensional, but I guess we have had it our own way for many years so are due pay back. Not as good as series 1 but thanks to Elizabeth Moss, worth watching.

Seems like not everyone is a fan of the show

Doctor Foster episode 3. Still batshit crazy car crash tv. WTF is hate sex and why does she never take her bra off when having sex?

Just watched it. I suppose that they say they don’t like each other but really do/still attracted to each other. Fine line between hate and love and all that. Still not 100% sure what I think of this. Would quite liek teh lad to get some help and maybe they shouldn’t leave town after the disclosure about his behaviour.

It is strangely compelling. It does a good job of showing the effects martial break ups can have on the children (and having been through a thoroughly unpleasant break up with 3 kids and 1 step kid I have been there) but I find her behaviour beyond strange. Apart from the stalking in gardens and the creepy drunken interogation of her son’s friend (that looked like it was going someone it shouldnt but thankfully didnt) the whole “hate sex” thing with her son upstairs was deeply unpleasant. I could understand it if they had just broken up, but this is some way down the road, he is in another relationship and she seems incapable of staying away from him despite everything he has done to her. Still, with two episodes to go maybe it will make more sense by the conclusion.

Anyone seen American Vandal (i’m too lazy to scan back through)?

Not ground shattering, but it’s pretty entertaining.

It’s a complete pisstake of Making a Murderer, set in a high school revolving around the vandalism of teachers cars. It’s so well done.

Really enjoying the third season of Narcos. Thought it may go downhill after the death of Pablo but it gets better and better.

The Deuce on Sky
70s vibe and intetesting themes. Looks promising,

Back to Dr Foster. Last episode next week. Both of their lives are falling apart. It is expected that one will kill the other but my money is on Tom (their son) topping himself in the final episode. There is a hint that there could be a third series and that would set it up nicely, although I dont know if I can sit through another six episodes of two people tearing each other apart.

Bit late but thanks to everyone on here, we finally got round to Narcos this week.

Excellent tv and the dialogue is slow enough to read the subtitles & see each scene :sunglasses:

This is hard going
I am not sure why its taken me two series to realise its a bit shit really
 time i wont get back

Pablo gets killed?

FFS Goatie what happened to the no spoilers rule?

We’re only at episode 9 season 2 damn you.

We do like the show it’s a good story but obviously way OTT and no realism in it at all

:sunglasses:

So Doctor Foster ends (or does it? The door is open for series 3 but I hope they don’t go there). It has been a very tough watch and last night’s finale was also hard going. I still can’t make my mind up whether this was quality drama or utter tosh. It was hard to have any sympathy for either of the lead characters and whilst it played out quite well in the first series, the need for them to continue to try and destroy each other further down the line just became a drag. Overall it was probably too overwrought and heavy handed. But it did raise issues of how some broken marriages fuck up the children and this showed in stark realism what self obsessed manic people do to the people around them. Please leave it there though Beeb. We and the family can’t take any more.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is back :lou_lol: All ur favourite bros is there, but they all seem to have aged like 10 yrs. I have watched first episode. It was quite gd, but something was slightly off. Larry seemed to be enjoying himself. He kept smiling and laughing when ppl was arguing on him. I didn’t like that! He needs to go back to being Stressed & Miserable.

Now wondering whether I would dare miss it! Right on our doorstep as well.

So question - would you?
