+1 for the local reference, Bazza, but isnā€™t that just yuppie porn?

I never watched the show.

If you watched Dexter and didnā€™t think series 4 was the best, youā€™re a monumental prat.

Even then, itā€™s not even the same game as Sopranos, let alone league.

I mean the irony of you posting that. Wow.

Nathan For You is back, bitches! Do urself a favour!

:lou_sad:

Looks like a week off due to a slipped disc is on the cards so any more recommendations would be good. Just gone through boy meets girl, top coppers, fried, and cradle to the grave.

Iā€™d echo recommendations on here for Newsroom, Intiniki.

Iā€™ve just finished watching it and really enjoyed it with a couple of reservations.

If you like news, current affairs and interesting dialogue then it will appeal.

The reservations centre around the sort of humour / dialogue between some of the characters. Itā€™s very rehearsed and comes across as a little wooden, but Sorkin is too good for that to happen so often so this is obviously what he was aiming for. I learned to live with it, but it still grated a little.

BE WARNED if you do watch it that it only runs for 3 series with no plans for a series 4.

Jeff Daniels is unbelievably charismatic in the lead role and reminded me enormously of the person on here that recommended it to me - Furball RIP.

:lou_sad:

Eh? Did Furball get banned?

Nah he left of his own accord.

Heā€™s gone back to the racists who will lap up his criticism of the corbynistaā€™s without question.

Heā€™s in exile. May God rest his soul.

He was last spotted back on Stevesweb fighting the good fight and preaching his own brand of love.

Depending on what you believe BJ oy!, heā€™s either running from his own shadow, didnā€™t like the political censorship on papsweb, didnā€™t like being made the right-hand recipient of a simile involving the EDF or heā€™s just tweaking our nipples.

Such a love hate relationship.

The EDF? Whoā€™d have thought an energy company could sound so intimidating?

I havenā€™t looked in a while. Is he not doing that over there?

Itā€™s a shame heā€™s gone. I enjoyed his tussles with pap. He was a good addition here, and Iā€™m surprised he went back, given the things he said. Including his list of racists he was keep, who are now his audience.

I thought it was the calm before the storm when he and pap were getting on so well. That said He was different on papsweb - seemed more laid back and genuinely humorous.

The Furball v Pap debate was an absolute classic. I still canā€™t understand why everyone got so offended.

The lack of debate on political issues on here sometimes makes me feel a little queasy. At least The Other Place has that. Debateā€¦heated debate sometimesā€¦is good. Itā€™s what democracy is made of.
