I’m reluctant to watch subtitle show. Is it hard to follow the finer points of the plot if ur simultaneously checking facebook on ur phone, popping to kitchen to make sandwich, and sticking in panini stickers? Etc

How do you text with bear fingers?

Thank you for the welcome, pap!

I’m liking 'Mate De Sevensy - I shall adopt that!

I can’t say I’ve ever read The walking Dead comics, although I do like that the TV series goes it’s separate way. Maintains the element of surprise - un-affected from spoilers.

I must say, although he’s the bad guy, I do like Negan’s character. Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays him very well!

Cyber high five to you, Bearsy, Sir. Super duper nickname. Kudos!

I can assure you that Modern Family is approximately 1,346 times better than My Family - a completely different league. A Southampton to a Portsmuff, if you will.

At this moment in time, I can’t help but feel a little for Dubai Phil…

Don’t worry about D_P. He’s gonna be watching Polish soap operas all weekend before hitting Blighty next week

Tsing dobre, Reklama, Cesc Cohania, Piwa, Zwiewic. Krupnik. No need for Sub Titles with that level of fluency.

If I’m REALLY lucky I may get to power watch Dora the Explorer in Polish as well.

Don’t feel sorry be Jealous…

nb Actually I can only cope with the above for a max of 3 days at atime and supplied with suitable quantities of Old Krupnik…

Might have to give some Polish Ultras stick on Thursday night though

Mondays are becoming a real problem. On Mondays I have to watch Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, Veep & Preacher. That is on top of all the football I have to watch. It’s v.unfair, I am but one bear. Can’t they spread these gd shows out a bit? I don’t have any other gd shows I have to watch all week, now Peaky Blinders is finish.

Forgot to mention my hands down favey…Green Wing! Completely different to any of your ā€˜standard’ comedies. It triumphs at the top of the TV tree.

what you say, Bearsy?

You have to make a lot of compromises that I do not think I would be prepared to make.

I am not even prepared to watch a single minute of Britain’s Got Talent. Now if they put a show on called ā€œDad’s got weed, a garage and a shitload of good musicā€, I might watch it.

I’d probably just go to my garage instead.

Sounds a hard life, Phil. The backbreaking Labour of Eastern European soap opera. No wonder you think every English language show is the fucking bomb.

It kind of went…

Do I have to come to Poland? - yes.

I WILL watch Muse at Glasto - I don’t like them…

And voila, we had a compromise which started with "I’ll come to Poland on the condition you invite all your fit single mates out for a piss up again, so the old fart will be spotted clubbing with about 8 of Krakow’s finest fittehs on Friday night.

:lou_sunglasses:

One year I may sell tickets to my Social Media pals, plum wears me out. Two years ago they all descended on a Lap Dancing Club, and of course all got up and danced and… and… I mean where DO you look when your misses’s besties are all up there wobbling their Bewbs at you? #noetiquette for that

So don’t cry for me, I’ll try and find links to the best shows for y’all

mwah mwah ,mwah

At the moment just hope we draw Krakowia in the Europa & I get to show you lot round for a night or two.(but obviously you’ll all need letters from your other halves giving you permission to go clubbing with fitteh’s - I wouldn’t want to upset the karma of this place

Just started to watch Billions with Damian Lewis doing his best American accent as Hedge Fund Billionaire Bobby Axelrod. It is very cliched but any show that starts off with one of the main characters being peed on by what ends up to be his wife in bondage gear cant be all bad.

Recently started watching that, too. I think I got about 5/6 episodes in. I’m a bit behind now - need to have a catch up session.

You likey?

Not sure yet. We are only 2 episodes in and we arent rushing to play catch up, which is not a good sign. Having said that it has potential and once we have seen a few more and got more into the characters it could grow on us. It all seems a bit basic at the moment with the only interesting twist being that the AGs missus works with the ā€œbad guy.ā€ It has been heavily hyped though so hopefully has more depth. Will persevere for now!

So I know I’m years late to this party, but I finally started watching Community recently.

I’ve been a bit down lately, mostly sulking and feeling sorry for myself re: my pathetic knee. Community has been a great antidote to that, it’s had me genuniely laughing out loud in a way I haven’t done for quite a while.

There’s a good balance of interesting characters, and the dynamics between them all makes it really enjoyable. I particularly enjoy Abed, and his relationship with Troy.

Um, I also like Annie. A lot.

Ignore what Bear says.

He’s a funkwit and plays the role of sotonians’ Dr Alan Statham.

Green Wing is the second best comedy of all time, just behind The Thick of it.

Just so you know!

Welcome, BTW.

I crammed series one, and really enjoyed it.

I’m a bit of a finance geek and my son is doing some finance exams at the moment, so enjoyed the legislation discussions (no, really), and found the characters created by Damien Lewis and Paul Giamatti very compelling.

Lewis in particular really nails the anti-hero.

I am not now to learn that to visit sotonians.com is to invite a certain amount of bilge into your life, but this appauling statement is Raise the Bar and Take the Biscuit. I prefer Thick of It to Green Wing, but it is patently obvious that neither show is even in the Top 10. I wouldn’t even put Green Wing in Top 50!

Beltch is ban from gd shows. He can join Dubai Phil in the Taste Deficiency Subfrm.

My curiousity has been piqued.

What are Bears Top 10 Comedies pls?

Wouldn’t even pay for a lap dance. No surprise there. Did they provide nibbles too?
