We didnāt want to win this one. Our powder remains dry for the next poll, when the prevailing economic winds are fairer. Then we shall pounce like feral cats and Hampshire will be our playground both literally and metaphorically.
I see Rupert Lowe, once of this parish, elected as Reform MP for Great Yarmouth, a place he lives about 240 miles away from. I wonder if heāll be a better MP than he was a chairman of a football club.
Iām obviously bored as Iāve ended up going down a google inspired Rupert Lowe rabbit hole. His wiki page says he was appointed director of 2 companies since 2017, both have subsequently gone tits up owing millions, despite taking shed loads of furlough, and one of them, Digme Fitness lists none other than Mrs Rishi Sunak as a fellow director of the failed company!
So we all appreciate the democratic challenges with FPTP, pros and cons etc⦠BUT we DID have a referendum on the matter back in 2011⦠sure the question was debatable and sure many did not really understand the issue with STVgiven the literature was not great⦠but such is the democratic nature of a referendum⦠I am hoping everyone in parliament and media will remind Farage of this if he opens his fucking gob about the how unfair it is if he only has 5 MPs and how this must change? Or would he not appreciate the irony if he were to want to change the will of the people over this matter?
Sadly he is the kind of utter cunt who would brass neck it out and be admired by Brexiteers for doing soā¦
Well it could be worse - we could have had the French result.
The hard left (including the communists) have got over the line in first place - one of their batshit ideas is to reduce the retirement age to 60 - I guess a good few of them are in their late 50ās early 60s
If it were true, no need to change anything as to do so would be undemocratic. The fact that in some places folks would rather vote for a fictional made up Reform candidate tells us clearly their intention NOT to vote for Conservative where they could⦠Remember we dont do STV here
