Tbf I only meant a smidgen to the left.
That is grossley unfair
He never had any control of anything
Well that was interesting
We have a be government and two thirds of the electoral voted against them
It should be the end of FPTP, but it wonāt be.
To be fair, they were talking about the beauty contests.
One of the reasons I left The Waterside - I could have been related to most of them
ābeā?
The IFS was saying two weeks ago that none of the parties claims added up - tax rises or cutbacks were inevitable.
But wait now the results are in, they make out that this is a surprise⦠cue the excuses starting
The sore loser comments in the HYS are a joy
A few will pop an artery before bedtime I think
She has gone too early - how can she know there is fuck all cash within 2 hours of getting her job?
Unless she already knew and the fully costed manifesto was bullshit
Naive by Reeves - should have waited a month - ordered a full review and then said the Tories fucked it up way more than we considered possible
One I am looking forward to is how Wes Streetung goes about sorting out the NHS
He is already on record saying lobbing money at it isnāt the answer
But, to be fair, it isnāt the answer.
Firing any non patient facing employee on 200k or more a year in the NHS or Trusts would be a start
With you all the way
The NHS does need reform - the ideology needs setting to one side and redesigned from a blank piece of paper
People say the private sector shouldnāt be allowed near it but why if the product / service is better / quicker / cheaper.
The NHS has its place but it shouldnāt be consider a sacred cow that cannot be changed.
Unfortunately the NHS is too big and almost impossible to change.
I would be pushing for a clinician : non clinician ratio they have to meet eg 70:30
Itās currently 48:52
Thatās not the NHS mate, thatās the prison service.
I think Farage will be the one to fuck up. He will very quickly find out that being an MP is very different to being an MEP, where he had the worst attendance record, very rarely turned up for work. One of the highest expenses claims, very little financial scrutiny, nice fat pension for doing fuck all, courtesy of the evil EU. As an MP he will be expected to hold constituency surgeries, can anyone seriously see Farage in a cold church hall in rainy Clacton every Friday sorting out pensionerās rent problems and the like? I donāt think so. He wonāt be able to just fuck off to The States for weeks on end to go on the stump with Trump, he will be expected to do some work. And the financial transparency issue as an MP will be a problem, remember Reform isnāt a legitimate political party, itās a limited company, proprietor and major shareholder Nigel Farage. They donāt have members, just donors and financial supporters, some of whom are extremely suspect to say the least, American far right evangelicals and the like, itās all very secretive, nobody knows where his money comes from, or how much of it, but it will be serious amounts. I suspect it wonāt be too long before the financial scandals overtake him, he wonāt be able to help himself. He surrounds himself with some very nasty extreme right racist people, this election campaign has shown that, he wonāt be able to get away with blaming it all on āactorsā, or being set up by TV companies for ever. If the racism doesnāt get him a financial scandal will. The man is an unashamed grifter, and grifters gotta grift.
Oh, hush donāt burst the bubble of all those Tories who voted for Reform Limited because he offers a fictitious false memory where the old rulers of the British empire never went away - sunlit uplands and all that tosh.
I shall refrain from doing so here, but if anyone wishes to peruse it they have only to pmail.
Some of them pigs use tongues
@scotty & @lifeintheslowlane need to get back on the campaign trail this result is just not good enough
A travesty.
I blame FPTPā¦embrace change.
