If it triggers them as well - bonus
Anyone voting for this bunch of absolute arseholes needs to have a serious word with themselves.
They appeal to a certain type of voter I guess.
Reform seems to attract pretty ghastly set of individuals who wouldnāt be suitable to serve in a pub, let alone any constituency. I see one of those in the report is standing in Southampton Test. Will look forward to him knocking on the door in the next 10 days.
Reform is a strange movement. Whether one likes or agrees with Farage or not, he is a fine orator, at home in both a pub or a TV studio. It doesnāt hide the vacuous shite behind the rhetoric, but in a ālip offā against Sunak and Starmer (both awkward technocrats), heās head and shoulders above them. I predict he will win his seat, but as heās inherently lazy and is only interested in the gobby side of politics, he will immediately announce he is boycotting the Commons as a protest when the real reason is he doesnāt want to do the drudgery of being an MP, just like he did in Brussels.
This is the problem with politics, the main parties are so frightened to say anything that might piss off anyone who might be found by the lazy arsed journos on twitter that we get these word salads that mean nothing
Farage articulates his point very well, in plain English and doesnāt beat about the bush. He will also double down and defend his position. It makes him seem authentic and credible.
Mike Lynch from the RMT is another one
To be fair to Reform, they had hired a firm to deep dive into all of the candidates backgrounds to weed out the cretins, but the timing of the election caught them on the hop and they couldnāt get through them all in time.
All parties have these numpties, Reforms problem is that they are new and they donāt have the party apparatus needed yet
Give them a few more goes, assuming they survive, and they will be better run
I hasten to add i am not voting reform, before you lot start piling on
It is the political equivalent of Mrs Miggins on Watchdog who gave her builder Ā£50k up front to ābuy materialsā before he did a runner. If they are that poorly run, thereās very little chance of recovery before they go bust with all the lost deposits, unless Uncle Vlad stumps up a few roubles.
John OāFarrell once mentioned speaking with Farage on some subject or another, the upshot being that Farage explained his position and OāFarrell explained why he disagreed. Farage thought this over at some length, before agreeing the points OāFarrell had made and changing his mind on the topic.
When recounting this episode, OāFarrell seemed utterly appalled that Farage had actually listened to him, taken on board his comments, and altered his thinking on it. He seemed to be saying that Farage should have defended his position come what may, and the idea of a politician agreeing an idea which perhaps hadnāt occurred to him, and changing his mind accordingly, was anathema.
That said more to me about OāFarrell than whatever it was they were discussing. Being a spin doctor I suppose heās programmed to think that way, like most politicians these days.
Labour talking about bringing farm land into the scope of IHT
Maybe they should watch Clarksons farm to understand just how little money farmers make.
His farm land (1000) acres is worth £8m - so death duties on that is approximately £3.2m. Clarkson aside, where is any farmer going to find that kind of free cash from. They will have to sell off half the farm and thus reduce the future income probably making the whole enterprise unviable.
This feels like the time when they went after the aristos and taxed the fuck out of the stately homes - the key difference here is that your average farmer doesnāt have a spare Canaletto to cover the bill
There is also a rumour about CGT on assets passed on death
Although I am not sure how that would work with IHT - maybe the idea is that it excludes it from the IHT allowance
SSA
From Farageās camp - live feed so will probably get updated when you click on it. Of course Nige is not looking to agitate and is a paragon of truth and respectabilityā¦.
Anyway it says all you really need to know - unless you like that sort of thing about your preferred political party obvs.
Had only just seen it before you posted.
Comedy gold and despite Farage and Reformās responses, shows that thereās a part of the uk population who perhaps need a little TLC in making them understand that a blatantly racist ideology is not bright or clever & stopping the foreigners/ boats isnāt going to make their lives more prosperous
Still, Farage and Tice have form for pushing that sort of racist and devisive propaganda- āSt George & Engerland!ā¦.ā
Oh, and yet another one surfaces from the cesspoolā¦
