I tried firewatch and to be honest, although I enjoyed the game up to a point, if I had to sum it up in a sentence it would be
āThey need the game finished by when?? ah crap, errā¦I guess thatāll doā

Pre ordered Overwatch at the weekend - looks like fun - havenāt played Beta but seen a few vids of others who have.
This may be of interest to fans of old school football games. Kopanito All-Stars Soccer.
Itās a sort of melding of two much older games that I used to like a lot. First off, the visual style reminds me of Kick and Run. The style of play is reminiscent of Sensi. The ball doesnāt stick to your feet, etc.
So far, Iāve only managed to get a few multiplayer games in with Juvenile Unit #2, but can already see thatās where the game is at. Think you can have up to five players on one screen, so this is earmarked for future gaming evenings.

There was an interesting article in Kotaku about this, concerning a Steam player wondering whether he should ask for a refund on account of the gameās very short length (it is easily possible to complete the game in about 2 or 3 hours, apparently). The devs actually got back to them with a lovely letter, saying that theyād put a lot of love into the game, etc.
He ended up not getting the refund.
Blizzard stuff is usually of a high quality, and I have heard good things about this one. Itāll be an interesting to see how they get on over the next few years. WoW is losing subscribers and just not getting them back. Doesnāt seem to be another MMO on the horizon, or crucially, much demand for one.

Oh, I wouldnāt go so far as to want a refund, it was decent enough and I can see the creators have a lot of talent. The writing is very good for the back and forth with delilah. I was just left with a sense of what could have been. It started with the promise of the last of us but ended with eau de big rigs.
I actually played one of them games console games the other day. Forza Motorsport on an xbox. I think the last time I played a.console was 2008. I played against an 11 year old kid I work with. I won the first game and sorta let him with the next two. Quite enjoyed it. Took me back to the days I used to play driving games so much when I closed my eyes I saw the track.
I drive a real car like this.
Got the old arcade sticks out last night. Can someone please tell me what they reckon this obscure Japanese software house was on when they decided to implement this topic in this way?
Fucking Stasi!
Strikers 1945, an arcade game with some unfortunate spelling for a game hailing from the Far East.
My cockney mate seemed incensed; said it was thoughtless.
A new game to report on. useful only for 3DS owners. Steamworld Heist, a turn-based strategy from the same people that brought us SteamWorld Dig, the mining game that is on most platforms. Iām something of a turn-based veteran these days, particularly on handheld. The Advance Wars and Fire Emblem series are among my faves, but the pair of them, refinements aside, are essentially spruced up and refined versions of previous games. Top down maps where success normally rides on knowing how far things can move and shoot.
Steamworld Heist differs immediately in that itās a side on strategy game. From a static screenshot, youād easily be forgiven for thinking it was a run-n-gun in the style of Contra or Metal Slug. Movement and range is still important, but auto-attacks are out, at least for ranged stuff. You have to aim. I know that you can aim in stuff like Fallout and X-Com, but itās based off of a dice roll. Here, you actually have to aim, and if you miss, tough shit. The flipside is that if youāre really good, you can headshot enemies and use tight spaces to ricochet a single bullet through them loads of times.
If itās all sounding a little Dealey Plaza, I should point out that only computerised robots get killed in the line of duty. Itās just for fun, but what a lot of fun it is.

Iād recommend Black Flag. Cheap as chips. Pirates. Itās gotten very good at introducing its concept, each game is historically self contained, so you really donāt need to play them in order.
I only just finished revelations the other day, am now on Assassins Creed 3 whereas Iāve had to buy Black Flag for my son, heās progressing quite well through it which means that Iāll have to get Rogue next.
This will be the last one as Iām not planning on getting a PS4 just yet. Mind you I could get the windows versions but I think Iād need to bump up my GFX card somewhat.

I never really got into the series when it landed, but Juvenile Unit #1 is a huge fan after playing Black Flag, what with her interest in history and all. Sheās having a lot of fun playing the London one and pointing out the inaccuracies.
Iāve been playing it from the start so really want to do them all, It is quite good for teaching history, sometimes inaccurately, to the juenile unit but at least heās got the sense to ask me questions about the history.
He knows all about George Washington and the 'merican revolution now thanks to AC III
Iām on the beta (perks of the job, I guess), but canāt actually get on as itās currently just pc.
Folks in the office who have played have mostly positive thigns to say.
Blizzard are better than most for Muggle conversions, KRG. You might even get that within three years

Meh, Iām mostly a console/mobile gamer anyway.
Iām sure Iāll be covered, I hear the wider Blizzard family has just acquired some mobile specialists?
I downloaded āAssassins Creed : Piratesā on to my Nexus 9 about 3 hours ago, Iāve done no work since
Both good choices; thatās just the Piratey part of the game, iirc (the best bit).
My Nexus 9 holds the award for most dropped tablet that hasnāt actually been broken. Still going strong.
