šŸ•¹ Games I am playing at the moment

Playstation 2, but Switch is on course to overtake it.

It’s the form factor. People have good reasons to buy multiples.

Back on the Elden Ring this evening. Three enemies killed. No great ones. I did get some nice gear though, including a new summon who might be quite handy.

I’m level 161 now.

I don’t think I’m at three figures yet.

I’ve gone with Mind and Intelligence as my lead stats, with dexterity and endurance as secondary stats. Everything else gets some love as needed - and if I find a weapon with a juicy level requirement, I’ll normally hit that stat so I can wield it.

It’s a very different game than when I first started playing it. The run I had last night was more about exploration than trying to do anything specific and yet, ended up killing three Enemy characters anyway.

The mounted combat is also very good for making you feel like a bad ass.

I think my only moan is that it’s a lot of the same stuff in terms of scenery. Don’t get me wrong - it looks breathtaking in places but on the other hand, there are a fuckload of big samey blocks all over the shop too.

Get the mimic tear spirit summon, easily the best spirit, copies what you are and is an absolute tank, without that I’d be screwed.

That sounds a bit of a crap power up for me. If it mimics what I’m doing, it will be shit.

I have felled another Great Enemy - the one at the back of the castle, Leo-something. I think I’ve made the right choice in prioritising magic. My boss went melee and is getting spanked by the Fire Giant. I think there’s something that lets you re-spec and he’s after that.

You’re going to have huge issues when you start fighting some of the hard bosses believe me, magic builds look great but you have to be a really good player to fight quick spamming bosses.

Just reading up on how to get the mimic stuff. And don’t worry, I’m still levelling other stats. Priority is magic though.

Trust me you’ll need it, I’m at the Altus Plateau and the Capital and fuck me there is some tough stuff.

In other gaming news, I want to give out some love for Natsume’s Wild Guns Reloaded, a remake of an old SNES game for Playstation and Switch.

What’s really nice about it is that is a very similar game to the original, there’s just more of it. Two new characters, four player couch co-op and lovely pixel art.

EA no longer going to be making Fifa

No doubt want to expand the in-house purchases plus want to avoid paying Fifa $1bn every 4 years

Just got the blood fingerprint stone shield, fuck me the best thing in the game, nothing gets through that bastard and you can put ashes on it and effectively use it as a bleed weapon.

You have a job

Am nearly at the end of the game, this is a tough game, on Malenia at the moment but its one that is very very unfair and I’ll complete it as I am stubborn.
Its attritional not enjoyable, I’ve enjoyed parts but this is a cruel game where on some of the bosses you can’t defend, block or get out the way, you’re fucked and that is poor, if I wanted luck I’d fuck off to the casino.
I have cheesed some of the game and I don’t give a shite.

I actually have no idea what you and @pap are talking about tbf, but at least you both seem happy, so good on both of you :+1:

The thing is this game doesn’t make you happy (or me anyway), its wasted an awful lot of my time but I am not giving up, when completed I’ll never play it again, this is Japanese gaming at its finest, cruel.

I am playing Nintendo Switch Bowling more than Elden Ring these days.

I have devised a throw which involves no fucking about to start with, has a low chance of producing splits and a decent chance of producing strikes.

In the time since release, everyone has gotten good. A score of 45 will sometimes see you dumped after three frames, while most real life bowlers would be going off for celebratory shufty with that sort of score.

Neverthekess, I am proud to proclaim that I have achieved A-Rank, now in the midst of lots of ā€œproā€ * bowling things.

* I accept I’m never getting paid

There’s a turn based game called xcom, hardest mode is called iron-man and if you fuck up there’s no going back as it auto saves as you go. It’s one of the hardest, most frustrating, aneurysm inducing games I have ever played but I easily put in over 200 hours. It’s an illness

xcom is a great game, never played that mode ha ha, I won’t try it, this is just so unfair and unrelenting, its one more go but not because its fun because you hate it, nearly smashed the tv and everything today it proper winds you up.
