📽 Films I have seen

Watched the Coen Brothers’ movie “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs” last evening…I loved it, six stories about the Wild West…what’s not to love. :lou_lol: Oh yeah, perhaps a boys pic, not that all ladies expect a happy ending but Lady Slowlane would have liked it better if some of the stories did.

YOU’RE slow and boring

Thanks @Fatso and I thought we were becoming friends :sob:

Deputies have no friends.

And with replies like that he ain’t going to get any…hurtful that was, really, really hurtful.

I’m 3 segments in and am thinking of quitting, the Coen Brothers just don’t it for me, never have.

Have you tried any of the Fast and Furious series?

Yes, I’ve tried them, they’re ridiculous pop corn movies and I won’t go out of my way to watch them…

@BTripz jnr had Hobbs and Shaw on a while ago, I was in the front room but wasn’t really paying any attention to it.

Saw Vice over the weekend, the Dick Cheney biopic/satire (I still don’t know which it is) where Christian Bale does his usual total fucking method thing becoming quite a fat bastard for the role.

Loved it. I think the best thing about it is that it really makes an attempt to humanise Cheney in places. During his run for VP, he makes gay marriage slurs a show-stopper, because one of his daughters is gay.

It makes the movie all the more scathing as the film gets into its final act, because this is a man that clearly had some limited compasssion when it came to his family, but almost nothing for anyone else.

Sam Rockwell is also fantastic in his limited role as Dubya.

I had a look yesterday but don’t think that Mrs Fatso would like it so it’s on the list for solo watch (along with an Iranian and a Japanese one). Last night we watched Gretel and Hansel. Mrs Fatso thought it was shit. She really did not like it. I thought it was ok-ish. 5/10

Roadhouse.is it the best Bad Movie of all time?

Every cliche, every chance for Polski_Phil to name drop his time with Swayze.

God knows how or why but a true American classic

Leaded or unleaded?

that’s the film that taught me how to rip a man’s throat out. That’s got me out of trouble a few times now.

Also learning that pain don’t hurt was extremely liberating personally.

I watched Mandy (alone) tonight as I knew Mrs Fatso wouldn’t like it. I didn’t really like it either. I’m not a fan of Nicholas cage. I’m not a fan of gore. I found the whole thing a bit silly. 3/10

I love it, but yes, it’s not for everyone. At least you gave it a go.

Despite not liking it, I will thank you for the recommendations. The last 3 films I have seen have been somewhat disappointing so I need a win on the next one.

Have you seen “Da 5 Bloods” Fats?

I haven’t. Is it worth a go?

I’ve got lighthouse lined up next and a Japanese film that Mrs Fatso won’t watch but I’ll need her to be in the room whilst I watch it.
