The Last Full Measure.

True story of a 30 year campaign to secure a posthumous Medal of Honour for a US airforce guy who was killed in Vietnam.

All star cast including Christopher Plummer, Ed Harris, Peter Fonda and Samuel L Jackson. A bit schmaltzy in places but actually pretty decent.

If any of you subscribe to Shudder, I recommend watching Host. It’s a a shot on zoom horror movie and its only 50 minutes or so long. Packs a lot in to the short runtime and the scares are well realised.

ā€œbetter watch outā€ (2016)

Described as a horror/thriller. In reality just a piece of shit.

1/10

Have you seen ā€˜Candyman’ fats? Very good psychological (and a bit gory) horror.

With few new releases out at the mo and me being a bit of a Chris Nolan schmem, I’m enjoying De Lux’s decision to screen some of his back catalogue, watched Interstellar again this week, got myself booked up for the Dark Knight trilogy this weekend and I think Inception is being shown next week :lou_smiley:

I should add @fatso I’m talking about the 1992 version, apparently Jordan Peele has had a hand in the 2020 remake so be interesting to see what he does with it.

Thanks, I’ve added it to the list. Either there aren’t many good horror films and I’ve exhausted the lot or I’m having some bad luck with the last 4/5 choices.

Seth Rogan was in Donnie Darko. There’s lots of them, and you don’t notice at the time because they aren’t famous.

Shannon really has grown into that face though.

Just got back from seeing Tenet. Very impressive spy film, but Nolan messes with the conventional linear story like no one else. The actual story is very simple, much like a classic James Bond film, but told in a more mind bending way, with some incredible action set pieces throughout. Best advice is don’t see it with anyone who has an attention span shorter than about 30 minutes, as there will be much explaining to do afterwards.

As Christopher Nolan is saving Cinema single handed atm, with the whole media #wankfest, I thought, home alone, I’ll watch Memento.
Hmm
OK clearly a clever film. Well crafted, well acted.
But no. No no no. It totally is NOT a Saturday night movie.
Way to complex yet unfulfilling. Clever yet simple.
Yes a great film but a wrong night to watch it.
Really frustrating Godammit.
A must see ffs.

Not as good as Red Dwarf? It really must be shite then!.
