šŸ“½ Films I have seen

Say what?
How?
Why?

I haven’t read the interview yet but did he happen to mention money? :lou_eyes_to_sky:

This is fairly old news, init?

If the first films were about choice, I reckon these ones might be about identity.

I have that feeling given the directors’ personal journeys.

Anyone after some decent time travel a sci-fi should watch Coherence and Predestination on prime. Try not to read up on either them first.

I was watching Holmes and Watson, for something to watch, when your post came in. H&W was, quite frankly, crap so I watched Coherence, it wasn’t very coherent but thought provoking.

I’ve just finished watching Predestination, I’ve seen it before but forgot about it. I quite enjoyed it…

Just watched Jurassic World : Fallen Kingdom. I thought this one was pretty good. In fact, I think all the Jurassic Park movies are pretty good. Is there a more consistent five-film non-rebooted series of films?

Hmmm, interesting question, what have we got for comparison…

Rambo - Not seen them all so hard to comment.
Terminator - Terrible after T2
Star Wars - Terrible after Jedi and arguably soft reboot for final trilogy.
Mission impossible has been fairly consistent apart from the second installment,

Haven’t seen them but would Harry Potter be a contender?

Also does the MCU not count?

Jason Bourne films?

James Bond?

Against my initial reservations, I actually thought the most recent Terminator was quite good. Not up to the level of the first two obviously, but a decent film.

ā€œWhat’s your favourite opening line to a film?ā€ asked my wife.

I thought for a moment, and said " ā€˜I’ve come to fix the washing machine.’ "

Dunno. I’ve only seen sixty seconds of each.

I don’t think Gone in 60 Seconds was a franchise?

We did these back to back at the start of lockdown. Excellent films but the spin off with Hawkeye (for you Avengers fans) was not great - Bourne Legacy IIRC. Matt Damon is a cool actor.

Loved these as excellent films…but, should have been called something else, as I would have loved a modern remake of the three films aligned to the books with a real retro vibe (like in ā€˜Munich’ 70/80s Europe and Asia and US/Russia and the hunt for Carlos would have been retro cool if done well)

(The 80s original wTV movie with Richard Chamberlain was shit though as he is just not kick ass)

I just finished watching Da 5 bloods on Netflix. Thought it was excellent and wished I could’ve seen it at a cinema.
