šŸ“½ Films I have seen

Fuck me… octopus playing the drums… seems it all now. Like that ā€˜woo merchant’ fucker in the world cup…

Unoriginal bastards.

@Map-Of-Tasmania - these boys have no love for Aquaman either, and this song is better than any song that is based off World of Warcraft has any right to be.

A new low when they borrowed a Powerranger costume form the 1980s shitty TV series

I didn’t actually mind Aquaman. I’ve no immediate desire to watch it again, but as these things go, I liked the world building and I liked all the different factions within the film. Outside of the Nolan Batman films, it is probably one of the better DC adaptations, although that says far more about the shitness of those other films than it does about any good in Aquaman.

I’m on a Bond double header at the moment. The Spy Who Loved Me right now. Moonraker next.

I seem to remember The Spy Who Loved Me being a lot shitter than it actually is. Love the fact that his Russian counterpart gets one over on him throughout the film.

Mmmmmm.

I’m not sure if there is a ā€œBondierā€ Bond film than The Spy Who Loved Me.

It ticks all the boxes.

  • Uniformed henchmen
  • Sharks
  • Leaving James Bond in an easily escapeable situation and assuming that everything went to plan
  • Megalomaniac antagonist intent on destroying the world
  • Babes, everywhere
  • Fucking cool gadgets
  • ā€œPay attention,007ā€
  • The last scene featuring Bond and Bond girl and quips.

I might be sated. But I’m going to watch Moonraker just in case.

This week I have watched John Wick 3 and Hellboy (2019) both are best avoided.

Moonraker still has the best worst pun in Bond history.

I wholly recommend Us, the newish Jordan Peele ā€˜horror’. I want to watch it again already and that’s kind of one of my tickboxes.
HIs first film: ā€˜Get Out’ is also a goody.
I may have mentioned this before but I’m a bit pissed and I can’t be bothered to check and Ben Stokes.

Isn’t she married to Ringo Starr?

Bond movies finished when Sean Connery hung his Walther PPK up. For those of us of a certain age, Connery was James Bond, those who attempted to take over the mantle didn’t even come close.
