šŸ“½ Films I have seen

I get a free subscription to Apple TV as I bank with ā€œThe Evil Empireā€ so I don’t pay for it but all of the Empire’s victims do…sorry.

You bank with Manchester Utd? :scream:

I have very few scruples but the one I have left is very offended. :rage:

In my continuing recall of the Superbowl, I mentioned some very good ads (When Harry met Sally 2) but also Uber Eat, Rayban + Meta & Michelob,

But they also pushed the big films coming

My review
Smurfs - an eyebrow was raised then I simply asked myself WHY?
Jurassic meh
Mission - Oh that looks like an old BiPlane…cool
Novocaine - Boimler makes movies now?
Oh a Dragon thing
Lilo & Stitch - WTF is Lilo & Stitch? Oh very clever Ha Ha I am intrigued
Thundercunts - oh more Marvel shit
F1 - Oh hello. Book me an IMAX ticket Baby

Looks like a whole bunch of wasted money inbound

Oh
Shit. Idiots

Most big predicted Oscar winners tend to be dull and turgid.

One of this year’s big ones is dull and turgid.

But.

Timothee Chalamet sings 40 odd Dylan songs.

Throw in Joan Baez, Johnny Cash & a bunch of other 60s classics.

Film is a musical joy

A complete unknown what wonderful music that was

Because it is just is a $320m moment.

Electric State Netflux. Critics hate it because it cost so much and doesn’t move the wotld forward.
It is marvellously complete shit.

Loved it and a banging 90’s soundtrack. Just popcorn shit

I was extremely never going to watch a CGI Monkey as a star of a film.

What an idiot I am

Better Man. The Robbie Williams biopic.

Seriously good film

Ah, you’ve been making user of your Plex library then.

Can’t disagree, brilliant film…

Again
A Working Man will fill 2 hours of time when you hve had a few beers and can’t remember it in the morning

  1. 2018 Gerard Butler Den of Thieves (Amazon UK)
Somehow I missed this one- guess it was at the end of my lousy subscription service in Dubai and missed it here.

It’s a typical formulaic Cop/Heist movie that simmers along but is so well shot and gets atmospheric without going over the top

I enjoyed it

Watched it because (7 years later) there is a sequel

I can see why

You need to get a hobby or something as you seem to spend a VAST amount of tome watching shite on TV.

Unemployable, semi- crippled & broke.
What pension was left over after divorce was stolen by the management of a large UK based recycling firm (& their auditors) who committed and covered up a £500m fraud

So my job is to review shit for y’all and turn down internships in management training because nobody wants to oay for any more.

It’s a better hobby than antidepressants

I have played Solitaire, Tetris & Mahjong on a PC. I once played Pebble Beach gold on a Tandy Twin Floppy with a Composite monitor.

But I know my Grandkids play Minecraft.
I know they made a movie that got meh ratings and stars Jack Black as Steve.

I should have gone to the cinema :man_facepalming:

Damn it is awful it is so bad it
It
It
Is genius.

I am assured the dedication to the game is genius.
The piss takes of Steve’s every where is genius
The dis Man Taling of Jason Mamoa is genius.

I watched it in meh mode as Jack over acted as usual through the 1st 15 minutes or so, I was underwhelmed at the Orb being a cube

And then there were some gentle eyebrow raises tgen a slight smile became a smirk and finally a full blown guffaw

I have a Cheshire Cat grin. It is awful.

Love it. This is a Cult movie for your Grandkids kids

Yep.
Time Warp Again Cultland

Mission Impossible, the final reckoning.
Watched it tonight. Trite, slow moving, with a series of sledgehammer morality messages rammed relentlessly down the viewers reluctant gullets from the opening credits to the final curtain. Abysmal.

Come on, get off the fence and tell us what you really think.
