We just watched Fast X.
Got to be a contender for Worst Film I Ever Sat Through. Truly appalling.

Fast was lazy rubbish.
Venom The Last Dance
the series has been one of the most not really working of the MCU Universe, but equally thanks to Tom Hardy & the witty scripts they have been fun.
Mrs P_F was doing online mas stuff and so I put it on the back up provider and she kept looking up and while not she certainly laughed at some of the lines.
It is nonsense and yet it certainly deserves an “I enjoyed it” rating - stupid but worth the oh good grief when she looked up & laughed at the Abba moment
Red One
$200m of pure garbage.
Nonsense story, strangely non empathic effects from CGI
Dwayne Johnson impersonating a plank of wood.
And we grinned a lot, and we enjoyed it for being total nonsense held together by Chris Evans
Don’t pay for it, but it was worth not paying for
No change there, then.
I’m watching the 1945 original “Brief Encounter” with Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard.
It’s full of rumbling steam trains, guilt, hand holding, swirling piano music and the overuse of the adjective, terribly terribly.
MARVELLOUS!
Jeez, I’m watching “A Hard Days Night”…it’s awful. The saving grace is I know all the lyrics, it was our job as teenagers.
Quite a nostalgia trip for us septagenarians.
I thought it was one of your family videos
No not family but I am a dead-ringer for Wilfred Bramble.
I bet you have a picture of yourself sat in the sink
Probably best avoid the public lavvies on Southampton Common, then.
Not sat in the sink, but I do remember my mum sitting me on the draining board with my feet in the sink while she scrubbed my knees.
and behind the ears I hope
…of course.
Caught the last hour and amused myself by spotting the great and not so good of the British Film Industry. Probably hadn’t seen it since it was on TV in the mid sixties.
Netflix Carry On
The best nonsense Christmas Eve action movie since Die Hard q & 2
Marvellous shit
I watched Blitz yesterday afternoon, a new movie set in London during WW2. I enjoyed it, especially the performance from Elliot Heffernan, a young lad in his debut film role, a star of the future I reckon. Also starring Paul Weller who was very good in his first straight acting role. Good cameo performances from Stephen Graham and Kathy Burke. Well worth a watch.
Is it on a streaming channel?
Yes Apple TV.
Thank you your lordship. I’m afraid I’m a bit of a luddite when it comes to how these things work, it’s all a complete mystery to me. I have something which is known as a ‘scouse box’ which is updated daily. Very comprehensive, TV from around the world, more sports channels than you can shake a stick at, films, including Hollywood blockbusters which go on as soon as they are released, box sets etc. I haven’t a clue how they manage it, I suspect it’s best not to ask!
