It is most excellent.
How many Ahmed’s got left behind?

Plenty. At the last rough count 100 have been captured, tortured and killed, over 1,000 in hiding being hunted by the Taliban. Absolutely shameful behaviour by the West, (basically the UK and the US), promised these people protection and visas when we recruited them, just left them to their fate when our forces left Afghanistan with their tails between their legs. Perfidious Albion indeed!

John Wick 4.

I really dont know what to say about it.
Its brilliant? Its awful?
Its John Wick. Its nothing like John Wick.
Strange.
I think ibwatched a seminal movie moment. The Paris thing is something never seen /tried/stupid/incredible

Most odd and not often a movie leaves me in this strange twighlught zone.
I think i just watched genius
Dont understand any of it.
Astonishing film

Four movies? Is it not getting on your Wick?

Saw Across the Spiderverse tonight at the local cinema.

I consider the original one of the best comic book films of all time and definitely the best Spider-Man movie.

This is the second part of a trilogy. Part three is out next March.

I’m really looking forward to it because this installment was excellent. So visually inventive. It’s probably the most technically impressive animated movie to date

Pixar have a shit load of catching up to do.

I watched it yesterday and was really impressed! I don’t know about animation, but it was much more gripping than the overblown marvel films.

Fast X.
Damn i didnt even remember watching Fast & Furious 9.

It is utter shit. But it has Jason Mamoa and he is absolutely dreadfully awfully brilliant as the psychopath Evil Guy.

And then the cast. It brings back everyone including a flashback to Paul Walker, but not being a geek i have no idea who half of them are except as actors/actresses and damn there as many star names as an Avengers movie.

The last 30 plus minutes are utter garbage reality wise but almost exciting RAF Lutonmay be able to describe the helicopters conkers

So the movie is completely shit, at least 4 sequels past its sell by date.

But worth watching every moment of Jason Mamoa.

Stupid. I was bored then entertained

So it wasn’t completely shit then?

Well, the coolest thing about animation is that theoretically, you’re only limited by your ambition and time. I think it’s fair to say that before the Spider-Verse films, a lot of studios were playing it safe.

Sony Animation has raised the bar, not least because with this one, they had the largest crew for an animated movie ever.

And, tbh, I kinda remember more about Miles Morales than I do about just about every MCU mess since then.
So, yes, looking forward to this in due course.

Im halfway through Asteroid City.
Which is very colourful and different.
And has a hell of a cast.

It has a clever 50’s B Movie vibe and right bang in the middle plays homage to Mars Attacks by introducing that Slim Whitman song.

This is a clever film i like it

Extraction 2
This film is VERY not shit

Mission Impossible #79 is fucking brilliant.
Go to watch it at IMax or at least the cinema.
Way to go Tom & Hayley

Local TV.
Movie with one of the great lines…
There’s always time for Lube!..

David Duchovny’s best thing since the XFiles & Californication

Watched The Super Mario Bros Movie last night.

Yes, yes - it’s a video game movie. Yes, yes Young Adult Unit #1 and her boyf were as sneering as many reading this currently are.

But they both concluded that it was a super fun time.

I concur.

Dungeons & Dragons Honour among thieves.

Complete nonsense.
But it works because the cast all realise it’s nonsense and while not hamming it up, go along with the flow.

Makes it an entertaining romp if a little short on Dragons. And Dungeons. Good reviews, probably another franchise for Chris Pine, Michelle Rodrigues, Hugh Grant and others

Indiana Jones #75

It is not shit. But it is just Soooooooo flat.
Indie is about Ripping Yarns, this is more like a hole in your favourite sock, nothing ripping at all.

So the script is classic Indie by numbers but the big set pieces just turn out dull. How can you have an action movie where you look at Twitter during the Tuk Tuk chase?

It’s not a waste of time watching it, it just should be watched on a wet winters’ Sunday Afternoon after the football and before Songs of Praise (which would probably be as exciting)

Summary

1967 Nazis doing strafing runs of Roman Galleons in a Heinkel is

almost interesting

How embarrassing.
In fact, my Mojo Dojo Casa has possibly left the House.

Barbie.

:scream::scream:

I’m afraid it doesn’t make it to an It’s not shit rating.

Because it is VERY clever and funny and yeah, all everybody wrote about it.

I have laughed, nodded sagely and accepted all it’s faults and cliches.

Very enjoyable.
Please don’t make 500 sequels/spin offs

2021, BBC Film, Jody Foster & Benedict Cumberbatch

The Mauritanian.

Superb - kind of the story of Guantanamo Bay and Mohamedou.

I’d post a bigger review but it would get redacted
