Feminism

That’s not proof - just stuff you’ve said.

I’ll presume you really, genuinely are unfamiliar with all of them. Links now attached.

Nope, no links.

I hope these aren’t isolated examples you’re offering me from newspaper stories as that does not constitute ‘proof’, as I’m sure you know.

Lol. Tramps only replies to men who disagree with him on a thread about feminism. Hiya! Over here! We’re not scary!

Loool there are literally photographs of the gender segregated Labour meetings. I have posted links to different lyrics in different songs for comparison, which you can Google if you wish.

Do you really want to go down this road?

Yep, he’s only replying to me.

you didn’t post any links

Why do you keep mentioning the left?

Is it only the job of the left to police this? Last time i looked, it was the far right in power.

The press are also predominantly right-wing, but it’s the lefts fault that the media don’t do enough?

Gender segregation demanded by the party, or a community doing what they always do?

You’ve been on breitbart again, haven’t you @mrtrampoline ?

“A media diet consisting partially of Breitbart would lead a person to believe that the streets of European cities are teeming with sex-crazed gangs of brown men groping white women with abandon. Curiously, Breitbart has also published thousands of words claiming that campus rape in the U.S. is a hysterical feminist myth put forth by women determined to take the fun out of sex.”

Remember, white British men are quite susceptible to the urge of forcing themselves on women and children.

“Rape statistics in all Western countries are shockingly high. The culture has changed, but behaviour has not. According to Rape Crisis, around 85,000 women and 12,000 men are raped each year in England and Wales. Half a million adults are also sexually assaulted. Child rape and molestation is also widespread.”

It must be because my voice is too high pitched and squeaky, and he just can’t hear it. Maybe if I stand on my tip toes I might be able to get his attention.

But shame really, it’s potentially an interesting debate.

Sorry go back and check on page 4 - I popped them up

Hi Coxford Lou - will reply this evening - on phone as with a friend - but in short - theres v. little we disagree on - Id argue feminism is important and necessary

All i’m saying is that it comes off as a little disingenuous when left-wing people have totally different reactions to feminist issues depending on the skin colour of those involved - ecidence on pg.4

You’re inserting a whole different debate into the mix here with little context behind why you’ve gone off on this tangent (beyond I assume, your assumption that everyone here is left wing, so you’re going to try and wind them up).

When actually, there is an interesting nuanced discussion to be had around feminism and male and female perspectives. And yes, that includes much bigger issues overseas, as well as smaller day to day experiences women generally have to put up with/adapt to/accept as given, in our much more liberal societies.

Are there hypocracies on the left when it comes to unequivocally standing up for women’s rights the world over - yes undoubtedly. And I’d maybe take some of your points more seriously if they didn’t come off as oneupmanship or a bloke telling women what he deigns to be worthy or not of, consideration as ‘oppressed’.

We’ll get there!

Feminism can be picked apart very easily when you cross reference it with cultural privilege for males which is accepted as it cultural.
The same also for the extreme left as well.
It just they always pick the underdog against the state and that’s where their real agenda is
ie
Feminism and other supposed equal rights movements are proxy fights for the extreme left who hate their nation and want to bring down the state and have a revolution, a sort of animal farm if you will.

Culturally would you say our Western one is more open, advanced and fair when it comes to the treatment and opportunities it gives to women, I include the whole World before you scream Islamophobia SOS.

In short how good is this Country compared to nearly everywhere else?
Name a better one outside Europe?
We’ve broken free from religious and cultural dogma, its great isn’t it?

If you’re talking about feminism as a political football, then I guess there’s some argument in that. If you’re talking about women standing up for themselves on issues that affect their own lives, then this has no relevance.

But hang on, I thought you voted Corbyn?

I want all women to be emancipated, they aren’t due to mans reluctance, in some parts because they’ll lose power and in other culturally its not acceptable for a woman to be seen as an equal.

Both are abhorrent and both exist.

You’re not really talking about what i have written(no surprise there), but to answer your question(relevant to what i posted and the thread).

Europe: 25.4% of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from men.

Western Pacific Rim: 24.6% of women have experienced physical and/or sexual violence from men. Take out Australia and New Zealand and i’m willing to bet the percentage drops even though their populations make up a tiny fraction of the total.

World Health Organisation figures(aus nz making a difference is my guess, not official(yet)).

Your last sentence is made up bullshit. keep dreaming Barry(or Mr Nuttall).

P. S if you want country by country figures, learn to search for yourself.

I may be so bold to say beating women is more accepted in certain cultures?

Progress occurs when people are freer, the age of enlightenment for example, we moved faster and further once we freed ourselves from the church.

Religion and rigid cultural practices hold us back, Western Europe is all the better for being freer and open questioning authority without proof.

You don’t want to question for fear of offence, bollocks to that, if its wrong its wrong.

And I’ll add I named my beautiful daughter Emmeline.
