This topic is about Yemen, not the Uighers. Why do you always, no matter the topic, whenever UK foreign policy is shown up to be immoral, murderous, a national shame, immediately deflect, my country right or wrong? The last refuge of a scoundrel! But but but - Islam. Or Putin. Is that how this country should tailor our foreign policy? If they are behaving wrongly,(in your opinion) then that justifies us doing the same? The Islamic world says nothing about China’s treatment of the Uighers, (they do, but are ignored, and in the real world what do you seriously expect them to physically do?)so that justifies us giving logistical support and supplying the means for a vile regime like Saudi Arabia to murder defenceless civilians in the middle of the night? What about the higher moral ground, shouldn’t we be taking it? You are always banging on about Muslims still living in the stone age, following that argument through surely we should be showing we are better than that shouldn’t we? Setting an example. But we don’t do we, we shout “look over there” to deflect and justify our behaviour. Your argument seems to be,‘we won’t be better than them, we will do as they do’.
One last point, it isn’t the Islamic world that are making vast fortunes manufacturing weapons of mass destruction and flogging them to any despot and tyrant who happens to have the reddies. Even you can’t blame them for that.
