I know how you feel - cash flows, furloughs real lows.

I stopped a couple of hours ago and I have to say I am knackered - just completely drained and nothing (and everything) to do with this fucking virus

I hope you manage to find a way through this

Thanks mate.

Thoughts and prayers from all the nation.
I don’t wish it on anyone but really Mr Hunt.

As the tweet author says, midway through the crisis they decide to review the guidance on personal protective equipment.

I guess asking staff to share protective masks is ā€˜sub-optimum’.

I really liked the bit about the nation being grateful for his strong leadership.

Chancellor of the Exchequer hard at work.

In a HOODIE? WTF??

So that’s where all the money is coming from #countylines

My dad’s official cause of death was recorded as Parkinsons disease. He actually wasted away through malnutrition which I’m certain was the result of overwhelming depression, but he was suffering from Parkinsons. It must be near impossible sometimes for the attending doctor to decide what to put down as the actual cause of death, and in the current situation it perhaps doesn’t seem like the most pressing of issues?

Unfortunately most Ltd company contractors paid themselves £1000 /m PAYE and the rest in divs.

Interesting …

Cheers. It’s a bit of money at least.

So how does this work - do I pay myself my normal monthly wage (say £1000 p/m) and then I receive a rebate from the Government for £800 of that?

Better than nothing though.

Taxable. And no payment from Gov until end of June (then it will be backdated).

Not sure - the payment date is vague. Do we pay once we get the cash or on normal pay days? This is meant to help cash flow

We have been told that PAYE contractors are eligible so I could find myself having to pay out for contractors I can’t then charge a client for and having to then wait for the money from the govt - mental

You can pay yourself the 800 and get that back entirely or top up to 1000

This is the change of command for government - if Boris is out of commission then Raab is the man and so on - how far down this list do you need to get before you seriously consider shooting yourself

I don’t know half of that list
