:covid_19: 😷 🏥 Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

I think there is a sting in the tale here - I sure he said something about those who benefit from the state will have to contribute their fair share or something like that. I think the definition of worker is going to change

Yeah, trying to find more details now.

There seemed to be a few gotchas.

Not available until June was one of the things I thought I heard.

Will look to average over the last 3 years of trading.

People with less than a year of trading history seem to be in trouble?!?

I am lucky enough to have secured some contracted hours about 3 weeks ago, however my self employed hours will now only make up around 40% of my total income, and from what I could make out this will ultimately make me illegible for any support despite losing around £800-1000 of income a month. Tough times ahead I feel.

Thread…

Taxable grant available from June, he’s fucked over his core base, I hope they won’t forget this.

So the maximum per month is going to be £2.5k for all employees? Not good enough, in my opinion.

I’ve no dog in this fight as I am still working, but a lot of people are going to have outgoings that they can’t change.

I wouldn’t be able to cope if it were me.

Think Martin Lewis is on TV at 8:30…

Looks like the expected surge is underway. :frowning:

How much is enough?

It is already a phenomenal amount

Could I survive on it yes, when you throw in the mortgage holiday etc

Can I enjoy life on it? No, but I am stuck in this fucking house so what else am I going to spend cash on

Don’t think Bobby Pesto was ready to be summoned…

I genuinely feel for people at this time, hope you work something out and get a hussle somewhere.

That was funny ha ha.

Absolutely. I’m very happy with this, think it’s fair all round. I understand what pap said about outgoings, but there has to be a ceiling and I’d say they’ve got it pretty much where I would have thought it should be. In any case, how could they justify setting the cap higher than the paye deal?
