I can appreciate why people might feel uneasy on public transport but making boosters for the over 65 mandatory and withdrawing their ability to use public transport (and this age category are often absolutely reliant upon it) feels a little Orwellian. What next, you canāt go to a supermarket without a booster? it feels that they have set off down a path with a potentially alarming destination.
I agree, but I cannot see why anyone over 65 would not want to get a booster as they are so clearly at elevated risk.
If it was mere false hope, Iād be as mocking as youāve been. The video @lifeintheslowlane posted is basically source after source, including the Royal Society of Chemistry, confirm that ivermectin does indeed block the viruses ability to reproduce, contracting the single source youāve linked here.
As weāve both said, the data will be available soon enough. The only thing I really objected to was your previous statement that it doesnāt work at all, when there seems to be so much competing evidence saying that it not only acts as an inhibitor, but may also have some utility in the later stages (whereas the $700 āwonder pillā is early stage only)
thats because you are sensible
The article I posted the link to is a review of the literature since Jan 2020 so it will have covered all the sources Dr Campbell referred to for patient treatment with Ivermectin.
The RSC paper, if I recall correctly, is a computer simulation study. It is not established that it is a real world effect nor at what concentration it becomes significant if it does occur.
I believe I said that Iveremectin does not work at any significant level as a 3-CL inhibitor. This does not preclude other modes of action that may be useful.**
Did my first thingy test today - luckily negative. Done properly as supervised by Mrs TB.
Will now do twice weekly.
Getting the bus is actually quite easy and more pleasant
Have been pondering whether the way Iām feeling now as we, hopefully, emerge from the pandemic is common.
Iām getting back to doing normal things. Getting very busy again with meetings, community and charity work, Council business, a bit of social life, football and even the occasional pub or restaurant. But it feels as though Iām living life at a ridiculously fast pace, although Iām sure Iām not.
Itās taking quite a bit of adjustment to get back to ānormalā
Know what you are feeling.
Same here.
Doing 1/3rd the work of before Covid butā¦
Thread:
Thatās one way of doing it. Difficult to enforce though
So John Campbellās vid from the other day was posted to Facebook a lot. Got some āfact checkā warnings. So Campbell looks at the people checking the facts on his article at Facebook. Only one has a scientific background. The rest are journalists.
Is this really such a bad thing?
Personally I see it as one of the few ways to get refuseniks to see sense. How to effectively police it? have no idea.
Am sure itāll provoke loads of opinion in the twatterverse to go on the Woke thread.
The reality is their world will keep getting smaller & smaller & more difficult
Look I have no idea if this is part of the great reset.
I just know I can reduce my risk & my family with jabs & that is all I give a shit about
The issue they have is that the hospitals are filling up with the unvaccinated- now you could argue that it is their choice, they reap what they sow
But issue now is vaccinated people are having life saving operations cancelled for other conditions because the unvaccinated are bed blocking
So I am probably coming down on the side of Covid passport to get into pubs / restaurants etc at least until the spring again
Booster done. Beat the rush of the over 40s
Itās harsh but I am firmly on the side of the great unvaccinated should not be treated before anyone else UNLESS they are unable to have the vaccine for medical reasons. Those that decided against vaccines should be shoved into a building to fend for themselves.
Agreed, but donāt think itās harsh!
So much in this comment by Dan Rather about the anti vaxxers in the US wearing yellow stars.
