This government doesnāt like lockdowns, didnāt want to do any of them and entered all of them too late. With the appointment of Sajid Javid as Health Secretary, I would expect them to double down on the ideology.
I donāt see them reversing it this time, even if ābodies pile high in the streetsā.

This, he has already said when we come out of lockdown it is for good, I worry because the privileged youth seem to believe their immune to it all.
I suppose the best we can do is look after ourselves and others that want/need our help, let the refusniks and unbelievers plot their own course.

I have a friend and ex-workmate, he is doubled jabbed and 90 years of age. Today he started his first session of Chemo after being diagnosed with Lymphoma a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for easing restriction Boris with no going back. I donāt think Charlie will appreciate being ācollateral damageā despite his age.

Iām sorry to hear that, I hope his treatment is effective. One thing that MD in the Eye pointed out regularly was that cancer treatment (along with many other treatments) was badly affected by Covid admissions and the climate of fear during the pandemic. Your friend has at least avoided the worst of the treatment delays, if heās starting chemo a couple of weeks after diagnosis.

Yep the trouble was it took time to get the the biopsy stage of the lump in his neck. Heās naturally a bit of a pessimist and always feared the worst but in this case he was right.
By rights he should be a good candidate for the 100 up club as his whole family are physically active types, hikers, runners. His wife is 88 and walks their young dog over on Baddesley Common every morning. The fact that they got a puppy when in their late 80s tells you something about their normal lifestyle.
