:covid_19: đŸ˜· đŸ„ Corona Virus the thread for all your fears ❓

Won’t be long before all NHS staff who refuse the jab will be moved to non-patient facing roles.

Going into battle tomorrow with the Bank as they have again screwed up my portal profile.

After some putting down of feet. Mrs P_F got off her arse and listened to my suggestions and we went into the system in a different way and boom! Certificate downloaded.

Cleared to get back into country!

BBC News - The EU’s vaccine passport and what it means for travel

Except Ireland
https://www.rte.ie/news/coronavirus/2021/0630/1232241-covid-ireland-figures/

Confused as fvck now.
So apparently FCO web site now says an Antigen Test 72 hours before flying is a acceptable.
Yet until yesterday everything everywhere was PCR only.
What a ckusterfvck

Possibly because of the common travel zone status they value so much

Don’t think so. There are still quarantine & testing requirements in palce for any UK resident going there (2 sisters-in-law went last week). More to do with the system hack they had a few weeks back.

So, busy day was planned, lots of tasks all wrecked as usual, this time by Dentist moving Mondays’ appointment to lunchtime.
So didn’t have time to kick the bank about my profile but went to airport to check the tests out.
Confused the hell out of me I have a Ryanair email telling me to get a PCR test and a UK Gov telling me same open at home, and opened UK Gov on my phone and an Antigen test is OK. Actually that is great half the cost and results in 20 minutes at airport.
This is important as would have needed to do a test about 8pm on a Sunday night to ensure getting the result back by Wednesday morning - yeah they all say 24 hours but.

Anyway.
I then had a smirk.
Stressed out 30 something Yank - had only a carry on, travelling to US with Lufthansa. Arrived an hour before his flight - tried to go through security (the old way) was sent to check-in desk. He queued for 30 mins to be told he had to take a test.
He ran out to the station did the test and with 28 minutes until his flight it will take 20 minutes minimum to email him the result, THEN he can go through security.

No idea if he made it, I have a modicum of sympathy because it is not easy, but I also have a huge amount of you utter MORON, what the hell made you think you could rock up at an airport an hour before your flight in this new era.
He actually had the nerve to say “This didn’t happen when I was here 2 years ago”
Good luck to him. I have discovered that normal Travel Insurance doesn’t cover you if you miss a flight due to test issues.
Maybe he was lucky.
I think he was a T**T

So who got the Covidshield AZ vaccine?

The EU haven’t recognised this one and as such it could cause issues re travel

Me. Sod the EU

Most will have received Vaxzevria in UK

That’s the one we both got - I seem to remember those Indian AZ doses we being imported around the time we got the jabs, so we did wonder

Check the batch numbers on your vaccination card against the published ones for the Indian manufactured batches

Up here in Scotland, you can log on to your vaccination page on NHS Scotland and see exactly the vaccine received and then request certificate etc, but no download option yet.

Fuck - all AZ jabs on the NHS profile are branded Vaxzevria - even the Indian ones

Turns out my first shot was the Indian dos

Fuck fuck fuck

It would help if she explained why she didn’t want the vaccine at all!!

I had an intense infusion of Earl Grey
I think that’s OK.
