You know me, I’m not the type to point the finger of blame but who was it who failed to put India on the Red List at the same time as they Red Listed Pakistan and Bangladesh. You know, the India that had 4x the infection rate when those two others went on the list.
Yes that’s right the same “cautious” people who now tell us we’ll have to continue our lockdown for another 4 weeks.

Yes India should have gone on the list at the same time, however dont kid yourself that it would have stopped the Indian variant - that was already here and spreading. It might have slowed it up for a week or two, but none the less it would have got in and took hold
Ironically it may turn out that they have had a result albeit inadvertently. If they had closed off India earlier and that had delayed the spread of Delta by a couple of weeks, we would probably be moving to the next phase and straight into the arms of the next wave.

Just read a doom & gloom fail article that UK is worst in Europe with 107 cases per MILLION.
Which is nothing compared with the past year.
Also read about new symptoms and shorter incubation times but nothing on what they are.
Surely if it is shorter that must affect test time points. But no numbers.
Seems “odd” a subtle gaslight or simply don’t know?

There is a small sneaky part of me that thinks their rejecting the vaccine should mean we then don’t have to use NHS resources to treat them. Mean I know but they put everyone else at risk
